The hair stylists were doing a half-up twist hairstyle on Gia's hair. It was one of trendy wedding hairstyles, and she really liked it. She looked at the mirror and smiled. She couldn't deny that she was getting more nervous as the time had gone quickly.
It was the day that she had been waiting for. The day she would tie the knot with the man she loved since a long time ago. Right after they finished doing her hair, they heard a knock on the door of the prep room. They had no idea who that was.
"Gia, we have finished doing your hair, so it's time for us to leave," one of the stylists said. "Make sure that your hair is kept neat after you put on your wedding dress."
Gia smiled at her. "Of course. Thank you very much."
"You're very welcome. We hope that everything will go smoothly today. I'll ask whoever that is to come in," she said before she and her partners left.
"Okay."
She couldn't stop staring to the mirror. The makeup had been applied to her face and her hair had been done nicely. She couldn't even believe that the woman she saw in the mirror was herself.
"My gorgeous Georgia!"
Gia glanced and immediately stood up as she welcomed Mariska who was holding her 3-week-old baby girl, Lätizia. "Baby Zia!"
Mariska walked closer to Gia. "Hi, Mrs. Vettel-to-be! Zia wants to see her aunty."
Gia held Lätizia's tiny hand and stroked it softly. "Hi, beautiful! Thanks for coming to Aunty Gia's wedding today."
Mariska laughed a little. "Gia, today is the day! Do you remember what I told you before my wedding ceremony last year?"
Gia was thinking for a few moments. "Hmm... when you said that I'd be the next one to marry?"
"Yes! Then, I also said that you've found your prince charming."
They both laughed. "Ah yeah, I remember that as well."
"I'm absolutely happy for you, Gia. We've been friends for more than 13 years. As your friend, I definitely want you to marry someone you really love. I've always waited for this moment to arrive."
As Gia felt emotional, her eyes started glistening with happy tears. "I can't thank you enough, Mariska. You are the best friend I've ever had. You've always helped and supported me all this time."
Mariska's vision also began to blur because of her tears. "You always support me as well, whenever I need it. It means that I have to do the same to you. By the way, my parents also come here. They are also happy for you and Seb."
"I should meet Aunty Diana and Uncle Max later."
Another knock on the door was heard. Gia walked to the door to open it. She was surprised that the two of her bridesmaids came. "Hi, Gia!"
