The brother's plan (continued)

Tina sits in 'The Leaky Cauldron', drink in hand and stares at the wall in front of her. She chooses the empty table in the corner, and lets her thoughts overtake her. 

"Hello" she looks up to see Theseus, butterbeer in hand, standing over her and looking sympathetic. 

"Hi" she says.

"May I join you?" he asks, gesturing to the chair opposite her. 

Tina shrugs "sure why not" 

He sits and puts his drink on the table. 

"Tina, listen, it's fair to say that I know a bit about women"

Off her look, he continues.

"But, there are some who still remain a mystery to me. Like Leta and my mother and well you"

She looks at him, confused"

"I know you and Newt have known each other for a while, as friends. You can get to know each other again. You will always have another chance"

"You don't understand, Theseus. It's a lot more complicated than that" 

"Then please explain it to me, Tina. Because I want to help you and I can't do that if you don't tell me what's really going on"

Tina takes a deep breath. "Me and Newt were friends. That is until, the night before his accident."

Theseus holds his breath for a few moments, then gestures for her to continue. 

"The night before it happened, Newt was spending his time in his basement, like every evening, except that night I joined him." 

Theseus deflates in his seat. 

"Let me put it this way; imagine Leta was here, but she doesn't know you. She doesn't know how you met, anything about you, how you know her, not even your name. But you still have those strong feelings for her. But she doesn't know that she does yet and it's taken you so long to finally confess and it's all taken away from you in a blink of an eye. That's how I feel right now. That's what's wrong, Theseus. And no one, not even you can fix it" 

Tina stands and goes. Theseus stays in his seat, overwhelmed by what Tina has just told him, and trying to imagine just what she explained. 

Hi sorry this chapter isn't as long as others currently struggling but didn't want to leave you all hanging and really wanted to carry on with this story so here you go, hope you enjoy it and i will post a new chapter as soon as i can.
