Chapter 4:
Kristy was at the dining table texting Noah while hiding her phone under the table while everyone was eating dinner.
Joe: Kristy... Kristy... Kristy!
Kristy: *looks up* yeah Joe
Joe: are you on your phone?
Kristy: uh... no, *hides phone* I'm eating, see both hands on the table
Joe: you know you're not allowed to have phones at the table
Kristy: Nick has his phone at the table
Nick: I have my phone for emergency, where do you have to be?
Kristy: *mumbles* no where
Nick: exactly, hand it over
Kristy pouts and hands Joe the phone and he puts it in the basket.
Joe: no phone at the table or at bed time, you know that.
Kristy: *looks down at her plate* yes sir
Joe: you just got me an important lesson for school tomorrow
Kristy: *looks up and rest head on hand* oh great another assignment. I hate giving you ideas
Joe: but you love to learn
Kristy: that I do
Riley: Joe can you pass me the cornbread please?
Joe: Of course, how are you two doing in school?
Riley: okay I guess, I have a math test tomorrow
Joe: Well I know you will do great. How about you Mads?
Mads: *looks up* huh?
Joe: you okay? You look like you're having a hard time sitting
Mads: I'm fine...
Joe: *raise eyebrow*
Mads: I'm fine, really Joe
Joe: Did something happen at school today, that you would like to discuss?
Mads: what do you know?
Joe: I don't know anything, but when you're ready to talk about it, we can discuss this more further in my office
Mads: you'll be mad
Joe: I won't get mad
Mads sighs relief getting up and walks over to her bag and they all watch her as she takes out the letter from her backpack and hands it to Joe.
Joe: why is it open?
Mads: *fidgets standing next to him and bites bottom lip and plays with hair* cause I opened it, ow! Joe!
Joe: *wags finger at her after giving the swat to her butt* you know you're not allowed to open letter that aren't addressed to you *grabs the letter*
Mads: yes sir, but before you read it, my art teacher hates me
Joe: you girls knows my rule about opening letters that isn't address to you
Mads: but it's about me
Joe: how do you know it's about you?
Mads: because I didn't do the assignment like the Sister told me too
Joe: *reads the letter* to the parents/guardians of Madison Jonas. Madison has refused to finish her assignment in class and has her reward herself an incomplete for the semester. *looks up* explain?
Mads: *looks down* I don't know what else to say
Joe: for now when you girls have homework, you show me all your homework so I know it's complete, let's this be a lesson for all of you.
Girls: yes sir
Joe: Madison, you're getting a spanking
Mads: pleasee Joe no...
Joe: *to the sisters* What are the rules in the house?
Riley/Kristy: if you get in trouble at school, you get in trouble at home
Joe: see your sisters remember the rules
Kristy: *whimpers* Can you please talk to the Sister tomorrow after school about my incomplete
Joe: *sighs* sure
Nick: come on girls, time for you to wash the dishes
Riley and Kristy help Nick clear the table.
Joe: over my lap young lady
Mads: no
They all turn to her in shock.
Riley: Mads...
Mads: I'm tired of him telling me what to do
Joe sighs and walks over to her and grabs her arm, turns her around and gives her 10 sharp smacks across her butt.
Joe: when I tell you to do something you do it!
Joe barked at her and Mad's face was fuming from embarrassment and Nick said.
Nick: girls wash, and let that be a lesson to you when you girls refuses to do what you're told
Both girls nodded and washed the dishes.
