Fire Force: Founding Pillar (Benimaruxreader)

Chapter 2

The following day, you come back to Asakusa in some regular clothes to scope out the area and see what asakusa was about. As you were roaming the streets, you stood out like a sore thumb since everyone was in a kimono and japanese traditional clothing meanwhile you were in regular modern day clothing. Since you felt like the attention was on you, you end up switching into your mercenary suit at night because you felt more comfortable blending into the darkness. As you were watching the headquarters to look for the man you fought, you're suddenly hit with a vision that you had when you were younger where you were in a dark abyss, with nothing but black flames. You can't make anything out of the vision and no one was there. You were just alone in the abyss. As this vision shows up, your body physically knocks out and falls off the roof of the building. Minutes go by and you wake up on the ground of someone's backyard. On the patio stairs, you see the man you fought the other day sitting with his arms crossed. You immediately get up and look around you and inspect where you can run off to. The man yells out "who are you and why were you near my headquarters". 

You knew you couldn't get out of this so you smile nervously while scratching your head while saying "i guess ive been caught. Hehe. whelp."

You could see that the man wasn't in a good mood for jokes so you tried to lighten up the tension between you two. 

"Let's make this fun by fighting. If you win, ill answer your questions and if I win, you'll tell me your name and what generation you are." and before you could continue the man said "fine". You both position yourselves opposite from each other in the backyard and as you are getting ready to fight the man that was wrapped in bandages from the other day comes out onto the patio with 2 little girls. You didn't let this stop you so you make the first move by extending your flame to reach the man which makes him just, which you knew he was going to jump. After around 20 minutes of throwing punches and flames at each other, you both were pretty beat up, but you were still energized to throw lighting. Once you saw an opening, you landed a feint attack, which caught your opponent off guard and that's when you shot a line of lightning at his chest. Your lightning had over millions of volts and it could cause major harm if you don't control the voltage. You knew your opponent was strong so you used 5 million volts on him, which will knock him out. After hitting him with lightning, the man and the two girls gasped and were ready to attack as you approached your opponent who was on the ground, knocked out. Just as you were going to touch his body, his hand grabs you and flames wrap around your whole body and your hands are flipped to the back of your body. You couldn't fight because you were on the ground and you couldn't control your flame with your breath going out. Slowly your body flamed up in blue flame from struggling, which caused your clothes to burn and you to knock out. As seconds go by, you were knocked out with barely anything covering your body. Although you were knocked out, you could feel the warmth of someone carrying you and moving you somewhere. Shortly after, your mind went blank as you fall asleep. 

You slowly wake up after a few hours and sit up with your whole body aching and confused where you were. You realized that someone had covered your naked body with their kimono to protect you from being exposed. You have tiny flashbacks about what happened and couldn't help but cringe at the thought of yourself losing the battle and exposing your body for everyone to see. You start whining and rolling on the floor because you thought you had won the battle. As you were rolling from side to side, you see a cup of water and some clothes laid out for you to your right. You finally notice that your clothes were all burned and barely there. Embarrassed you huff and grab the note that was laid on top of the clothes.

The baths are down the hall to your right.

The note made you excited since you wanted to get all the dirt and sweat off of you so  you picked up the clothes and went to take a shower. After getting lost a couple of times, you finally reach the bath house, but there were no showers and only hot springs. Although you were expecting a shower, you couldn't complain since it was a hot spring. Your body ached as you went into the hot spring, but eventually the pain went away as you soaked in the water. You laid your head on the edge and looked up into the sky to see the stars. You sit there thinking about how this was the first time you've experienced a hot spring since you were always on your own living in the streets. You didn't have the luxury of a yard, hot spring, or family. You think back and question whether the life you have would be the same if your parents didn't die. After a few minutes, you didn't want to think about it anymore so you sink your whole body and head under water. It felt refreshing and you didnt want to get out, but your body was already pruning from the water. You end up getting out and drying yourself. You look at the spare clothes that were given to you and instantly thought they were hideous. The pants weren't fitted and the kimono was way too big for you. An idea sparked in your head and you created a needle-like trail of lightning that you used as scissors to cut the pants into spandex shorts, knee high socks, and fingerless gloves that almost covered your whole arm. You end up cutting the sleeves of the kimono into short sleeves. You end up wrapping the kimono into a form-fitting wrap mini dress. You cut the sides of the kimono to allow you more mobility to move. After putting everything on, you begin to walk around the building. As you were walking, you were pleasantly surprised with your skills and admired the fit of your outfit. There wasn't anyone around surprisingly, maybe because it was the middle of the night. You keep walking around until you see the lights on in a room down the hall. You slowly walk closer and peak to see who was in the room. In the room, it was the man you battled and the man wrapped in bandages sitting across from each other drinking what looked like tea. They both notice you and call you into the room. You hesitantly greeted them and were nervous about getting caught. 

The mixed pupilled man starts asking you questions.

"Now that you've lost the battle, who are you and why were you near my headquarters"

A deal was a deal so you hesitantly answer his questions without exposing too much about yourself.

"My name is Y/N and i was here because I wanted to know more about this company. Let's just say our battle yesterday really made you stand out. I'm interested in learning more about this "special fire force company. "

You give him a cheeky smile, which made both men instantly look away.

The man wrapped in bandages could see that you meant no harm and knew that you'd be a good addition to company, especially with your pyrokinetic skills. He took this opportunity and began speaking.

"My name is Konro. I'm a third generation pyrokinetic. And this is benimaru. He's a-"

"Compound pyrokinetic right? 2nd and 3rd?" you interrupt konro, which shocks not only konro, but also benimaru because no one has ever accurately identified benimaru's pyrokinetic ability.

"-uh yes. He is a 2nd and 3rd gen compound pyrokinetic. You seem to be very observant and skilled in pyrokinetics. Would you be interested in being a part of our company?" Konro smiles as he finishes his sentence. This instantly shocks not only you, but also benimaru. Seems like konro didn't ask beni about his offer beforehand.

You quickly decline the offer because you didn't want to be an imperial dog and you had great disdain for fire soldiers since majority of them abused their status to do whatever they wanted. Beni also immediately disagrees with konro too.

"HUH. KONRO?? She can't join company 7. We already have enough soldiers and we can't have someone that hasn't been through the special fire force training academy join. That's against code" Beni replies

Konro smirks "Since when did you care about code Beni?"

As they are talking, you quietly get up and try to sneak away.

"Where do you think you're going?" konro says as he and Beni turn their attention to you.

You mumble under your breath "shit" because you were so close to getting away. You honestly should've just bolted away when you had the chance and you could've considering your speed, but something about company 7 made you not want to. Maybe it was because the base was a traditional style home or the people, but something about it just made you interested and want to stay and learn more.

You snap out of your train of thoughts when you hear konro say

"y/n you will be staying here and working for company 7 in order to repay for the damages and problems you have caused. No exceptions." "If you try to run away, I will find you and kill you myself."

There was no hesitation in his words and fear came from his eyes, but they slowly soften as he continues talking

"Beni will show you to your room. I hope you have a good night because you start working first thing tomorrow morning. Have a good night"

You turn your attention to Beni who also did not enjoy the news about your stay either. He directs you to your room without saying a word, utterly hating the fact that you were now part of company 7. Just as you were thinking of asking him a question before heading into your room, Beni sighs as he says "if I were you, I'd consider yourself lucky that konro gave you a chance. Your shift starts at 8am sharp. Don't be late" and walks away before you could even respond. As you get ready for bed, you realize that it's already 2am. You were use to days without sleep since you were a mercenary, but you were so drained from all the things that were happening to you. Being forced to join the fire force, sleeping on a tatami, meeting Beni and konro. All this was definitely not something you expected to happen.
