Alaska sat alone on his roof, not minding the usual chill pervading the area. He saw his own breath clearly as it heated the area around his face, the warm clouds passing by his freezing nose. Bits of snow were caught in his hair, causing him to seem magical in a way from your point of view. You could tell that he was thinking about something, those silvery eyes of his scanning the line between the sky and the snow-covered horizon that was difficult to discern. Yes, he was indeed alone in his own mind, despite the fact that you were technically there. Though he didn't need to know that. You knew all about Alaska, and had been learning as much as possible ever since last February. It all started when you saw him in a hardware store that you worked at, and from there you couldn't help but follow the odd creature. That creature, you discovered, was a real location. Over time, interest became fancy and your heart evolved. You had fallen hard for something thought to be inanimate.

You took a photo, watching a cold breeze suddenly come along and cause Alaska to close his eyes halfway. You were freezing beyond belief, and yet something about Alaska excited you enough to remain. In your mind, you could simply imagine actually talking to him someday. If only the state would pay attention to some insignificant human for only a moment. You would relish that day, which you experienced each night, in your mind, leading up to it. That's right, you thought about Alaska all the time. Is that creepy? Oh yeah. But you didn't care, because there was nobody but you able to pass judgement on the habit unless you happened to let it slip.

You snapped out of your thoughts when you noticed that Alaska had vanished. Your not-so-little crush, gone without a trace. It confused you deeply. He usually stayed here until it began to get dark, which was rather early in Alaska. Shifting your scarf, you mourned the fact that you had lost his trail and turned around. It's alright! He would return here at exactly 3 pm tomorrow. No use in obsessing over it or anything, haha. Isn't that right? You could practically hear him scolding you right now, in that voice of his. "WHO ARE YOU?!" he would shriek from behind you, confused as to why some human was standing in the back of his home with a camera and no permission....

Wait a minute, that sounded a little louder than a fantasy! Abort mission!
