(3rd POV)

Oscar Pine is sitting on his bed reading a book in his room, with the light of the lantern on. "Oscar, supper's almost ready!" Oscar's aunt yelled in the other room. "What're we having?" Oscar asked with his eyes glued on the book. "Doesn't matter! You're eating it!" Oscar's aunt said. "I never agreed to these terms!" Oscar said in a joking manner. "It's part of the "living under my roof" contract! Read the fine print, then come wash up!" Oscar's aunt said.

Oscar closes his book and stands up. He is walking toward the door when a voice resounds, causing him to pause. "We have to leave." Oscar heard Ozpin's disembodied voice say. Oscar frowned and closed his eyes pretending he didn't hear anything. The young farm boy continued walking forward reaching for the door handle. "Oscar. Oscar!" Ozpin said in Oscar's head.

Oscar reaches for the door handle wanting to open it, but something in his brain is preventing him from doing so. "I've decided you're not real, so you might as well give up." Oscar said. "I understand how you're feeling. I went through the same panic and confusion." Ozpin's voice echoed in Oscar's head.

Oscar turns around and looks at an open book on the floor. He bends down and shuts it, talking aloud as he puts it and the one next to it away on a shelf while trying to convince himself what is happening isn't what he thinks it is. "It's not real. It's not real. It's not real." Oscar repeats to himself.

Once he is done putting the books away he stands up looking at his reflection in the mirror. "I can assure you, you are perfectly sane." Ozpin said in Oscar's head. "I'm talking to a voice in my head." Oscar said to the voice in his head. "I didn't say you were normal. I said you were sane." Ozpin said to the young boy.

Oscar decided to turn around and walk to the door trying so hard to ignore the voice in his head. "There's quite a significant difference between-" Ozpin was saying to the boy until he was interrupted. "Shut up! You think this is funny? It's not." Oscar said looking up at the ceiling looking at nothing particular.

He looks back at the door as Ozpin speaks again. "We are in complete agreement on that matter, I promise you. Believe me, I wish this weren't the case. But as I've told you, our aura, our souls are combined." Ozpin said as if he was in the room.

Oscar looks up at the ceiling looking disgusted, but then looks away. "I'm done listening to you." Oscar said. "Have you ever been to Haven?" Ozpin asked the boy even though he asked this question before. "I told you I'm not going, and I told you I'm done listening." Oscar said. "Do you think you could describe the headmaster's office?" Ozpin asked. "No. Why would I know that? I've never seen-" Oscar said til he was interrupted. "Try. Right now." Ozpin said.

Oscar decides to listen to the voice thinning it is the only way to make him go quiet. "It's probably... It's..." Oscar said thinking of what it could look like. His eyes widen and his face slackens as he remembers a place he never once seen before today. "It's autumn-colored... with a large mahogany desk. There's a small table with chairs in a corner for guests, with a tea set that... I... I gave him." Oscar said as if he was Ozpin.

He put his hand on his head concerned never once actually remembering being there, but was there at the same time. "Why did I say that? Why did I know that? Why did I say that?" Oscar asked himself. Oscar becomes increasingly bothered and he starts backing up, dropping his hand. "Because I helped build that school, and the tea set was a gift to the man running it now." Ozpin said only for Oscar to hear.

Oscar looks annoyed before turning around and sitting back down on his bed. "If you don't believe me, you can look it up. If I recall, your aunt has several books on Mistral downstairs. I'm certain you could find a picture in one of them." Ozpin said.
