Alexia sat in the staffroom. She had hung up the phone and sighed as she held the phone in her hand as Iain walked on and sat next to her

"are you okay?" He asked as alexia looked to him and shock her ends

"it's my dad, he rang. He's at the hospital with Mia, she's been injured bad. They had to rush her into surgery and the baby has been delivered. She was only 23 weeks, Mia doesn't even know that she is a mum. My dad said Mia has a bleed on her spleen and it's touch and go" alexia said as she ran her hands through her hair and smiled.

"I know what you think and I know that you are blaming yourself for it but this is not your fault and you need to think over your baby. Do you think cal has a right to know?" Iain asked as alexia looked to him and sighed.

Alexia knew cal hazard a right to know goer his baby and Mia, she knew that all they had dome to Mia but she knew deep down that he still loved her sister and that it was his baby

"your right, I just don't know it it's what Mia would want" Alexia said as he looked to her and smiled

"I know but it's his baby, she's small and weak and Ill and you and I know she could die before he gets to see her. Do you think that is fair?" Iain asked as alexia sighed

"okay, I'll talk to him" she said knowing she was dreading the conversation

Charlie sat next to Mia bedside and smiled as she started to wake up. She had been through a lot of trauma and he was lucky that she was alive

"dad" Mia said as Charlie looked to her and smiled

"Mia, how are you feeling" he asked as she groaned

"pain" she said as he looked to her and smiled

"you ought to be in pain, you have been through a lot but you are going to be okay" he said as she looked to him

"my baby" she said as he looked to her and smiled

"your baby is okay, they had to deliver her because of complications but she is in the NICU and she is going to be okay" Charlie said as Mia looked to him with tears in her eyes

"I don't know what happen, it's all my fault trying to leave. I hate this" she said as she sobbed as he took a hold of her hand and smiled

"hey, your going to be okay and so is the baby I promise. I'm your dad and I promise. I never let you down and I don't plan on starting to do it now" Charlie said as Mia looked to him and smiled as he kissed her forehead and smiled

Mia groaned to herself as she sat in her hospital bed. She sat in paid as she tried to move but couldn't due to stitches. She looked to see cal and paled as he walked in. They looked to each other as she started to cry.

He walked over to her and wrapped an arm around her as she sobbed into his chest "what are you doing here"

"alexia told me, are you okay?" He asked as she looked to him and sighed

"I want to see out baby cal, I can't see her, she might die and I can't see her" Mia sobbed as cal held her close as she sobbed

"it's okay, I have got you and she is not going to die I promise" cal said but could cal keep that promise when their baby was about to become so ill?
