It has been two days since Leonardo had asked to hang out with him and sadly it's been over an hour over since the time we had both said to meet at. We had both agreed to meet at a park that was located close to both of us so to why he was running so late really made me wonder.

On the outside, it was really obvious that he was standing me up but deep down I knew there was more going on. I knew that Leonardo wasn't the type of person to do that.  In his text messages it sounded like he cared.

Or maybe it was just an act.

It's been an hour and a half of me sitting down on a broken wooden chair doing nothing but checking my phone every two seconds and at this point, I think I'm going crazy.

My butt was sore from the cold, hard surface of the chair but still I never stood up. I think if I did the chair would come up with me.

I signed leaning backwards into my chair feeling the soft touch of the cold wind against my face as I moved.

The sun was covered up by dark clouds in the sky, but it was one of those days which looked like it was going to rain but it never did.

Just my weather.

I slowly lift my phone off from my lap and check it for the millionth time this minute if Leonardo had sent me a message or anything indicating that he was alive but yet there was still nothing from him.

Huffing in disappointment placing my phone back down in my lap and cross my arms in frustration.

Even after these long two hours, I couldn't bring myself to walk away from the cold seat. I knew if I stood up and walked away reality would hit and it would show that I really just got lied to by Colby's brother and I wasn't going to deal with that.

I didn't want to call him again and seem like one of those clingy girls but I couldn't help but stop myself. Hesitantly I picked up my phone again and clicked on his number.

Once I had placed it against my ear I came straight to the dreadful sound of his voicemail. I roll my eyes listening to the Siri lady on the other side before pressing down on the hang-up button.

I felt a wave of defeat wash over me as I realized that he really wasn't going to come. Different tones of sadness and disappointment washed over me as I place my handbag around my shoulder and slowly stood up.

The wind grew stronger as I walked away from the cold bench and towards the direction of my car. As I reached my fourth step I heard my name being called out by a familiar voice.

I quickly turn around to be faced with Leonardo jogging towards me. He looked as if he had seen a ghost with the expression on his face. His pants and jumper were coated in mud while his hair was all fuzzed up.

"Ava I am so so sorry" he says between gasps placing his hands on his knees to catch his breath.

"Ok" Was the only thing I could whisper as I tried to contain all of his emotions at once. A sad look spread across his face as he took in my reply.

All I knew for a fact was that Leonardo defiantly didn't stand me up.

"First my car had broken down meaning that I had to catch the bus but because of my luck, it was running late. So I had to run towards the closet train station and then sadly I had just missed it. So I had just decided to catch the next train and when I was going to call you my phone had fucking died" he breaths out all at once.

I stood still trying to figure out if he was lying or not but with his actions I could tell he wasn't.

"Here look" he says pulling out his phone in front of him to show that it had the words "0%" in bold letters on it and instantly I felt all of the weight lift off my back.

I instantly laugh placing my hand to my chest once all of the information had set in. I wasn't stood up, Leonardo was just experiencing some really bad luck.

"Oh thank God I thought you weren't going to come and I was getting stood up" I chuckle causing a loud, exhausting huff to escape his mouth.

"Ava I am so so sorry, words can't explain how bad I feel" he says walking towards me a sad look painted on his face.

"It's ok" I chuckle. ''Anyways why do you have mud on your clothes'' I ask causing him to chuckle himself.

''I fell running here'' he says and instantly I burst into laughter.

He really was having a bad day huh.
