I sat back and watched as Leonardo spread multiple packets of chips, we had gotten from the local supermarket, across the soft grass. We had both chosen to sit underneath a large oak tree that looked like its been around for ages. The branches were massive and each of them had large leaves stuck to them, each of them looking as if they were going to fall off any second now.
It was around three in the afternoon now and the sun was now bearly peeping through the grey clouds making it look like the sky was about to start pouring rain. As much as I had wanted to get up and take cover in case it had started to rain I stayed seated next to Leonardo.
I felt like a completely different person when I was around Leonardo. And I don't mean that in a bad way, oh no I mean that in the best way possible. Even if we have never really hanged out before it felt like we have been best friends for ages.
I was able to say anything and everything I wanted around him without getting worried that he would think I'm being dumb or he would go off and judge me with other people. He was very unique in a way that I just couldn't place my figure on.
Leonardo made me feel safe, unlike most celebs I had met when I was living with David. He had the personality of an angel that made me feel so comfortable.
He was one of a kind.
"Ok so I call dibs on the chips on my side while you call dibs on the chips on your side," he said and finally I realized that he had placed mostly all of the chip packets on his side while I mostly had none.
"Hey that's not fair" I chuckle reaching out and grabbing a couple of packets from his side. As Leonardo went to go grab the packet back his hand placed on top of mine and for a split second I felt an electric shock run throughout my body.
Instantly he removed his hand away and motioned for me to keep the packet, and to that I did. Placing the packet on my lap I couldn't help but focus my attention on the area that he had just touched.
The touch of his hand felt more than an accidental brush. I might just be looking away too much into it but the impact of his skin on mine sent a rush of excitement and warmth throughout my body.
"So how you enjoying this new lifestyle?" Leonardo asks me breaking the awkward silence between us. "It's kinda weird actually, having to watch everyone going out to jobs constantly and then they come home all banged up" I answer placing a chip into my mouth.
"Well you are only new to this, Colby had gotten into all of this stuff when he was only sixteen years old and then he made me join when I was only fourteen'' he told me opening a chip packet.
''And then to my amazing luck, he had then decided to just leave me" he adds on a hint of sadness mixed into his tone of voice.
''Note why we ain't that close anymore'' he states placing a chip into his mouth. I couldn't help but feel sorry at what Leonardo had said. Colby had dragged Leonardo into this horrible lifestyle when he so young and then just left him to do it all by himself was extremely shallow of him in my opinion.
"Why did he leave?" I question him listening as a little chuckle came out of Leonardo's mouth.
"Colby is a very stubborn boy, when he had found out that he had to follow the leader of the group's rules and not live off his own he didn't like the sound of it and dropped out without telling me and created his own group'' Leonardo softly smiles at me before looking back down at his chip packet.
I watched as his face grew soft at the thought of his older brother just ditching him and my heart broke. David was my everything and for him to just drop everything and start over because he didn't like the rules made me feel irritated.
''Well anyways, moving onto the next subject, have you met Francesco Villion?'' Leonardo randomly asks me bringing me out of my wild thoughts. I thought about his name for a while trying to recall if I've heard it from somewhere but nothing came to the top of my head.
I have a feeling David has said it on a phonecall before but at the same time I could be making things up.
''No actually, whos that?'' I question him watching as a relieved smile grows across his face. ''Good, his a very dangerous guy'' Leonardo says resting his head onto the tree behind us.
''I honestly thought you would have met him by now since the nickname you had received on the shooting'' Leonardo replies closing his eyes and taking in the cold breeze.
He looked so peaceful and gentle when he was resting instead of his jumpy energetic self when he was fully awake.
''Should I be worried?'' I question him causing him to slowly open his eyes and sit back up. His eyes narrowed as he tried to study my facial expressions before his face falls into recognition.
''Give me your hand'' he randomly says placing his hand out in front of him motioning that I should lay mine on top of his. Confused on what he was about to do I obey his words and slowly placed my hand on top of his.
He studied my hand before letting out a huff of frustration. He then reaches for something in his back pocket before pulling a stunning gold ring. It had a snake imprinted around the band and in the center of it was the letters 'LBC' in cursive.
''Here place this on'' he says handing me the ring. Doing as he said I grabbed it from his hand and slid it onto my ring finger.
"It's beautiful," I say smiling down at it.
"Thank you, it's custom made" he smiles before resting his head back on the tree.
