The morning sun was shining bright as Kinderley was still recovering from the battle. Luna and Janus rode past the city and saw its progress. The faces of the locals showed the bittersweet expression of both having lost something, and yet still managed to pull through.

"Ready to go?" Luna asked as they arrived at the main gate.

"Ready when you are," Janus replied.

"So you're really going back north?" The voice came from behind them.

Luna looked over her shoulder and saw that it was Miranda. She dismounted her horse and approached her for the ease of the conversation. "I am, Miranda. I set off south with Janus and I'm going to set off back north with him as well."

Miranda didn't know what to say. Even as a master, she couldn't strip her apprentice of her freedom and forbade her from going north. Her greatest worry was her training. She didn't fully train Luna, but just enough so that she could fend for herself.

"Don't worry, when we meet again, I'll complete my training," Luna said with a hint of optimism.

"Go. Safe travels both of you," Miranda said. "Thanks for bringing her to me, Janus. Send my regards to your wife."

"I will," Janus said. "You ready, Lou?"

Luna looked at Miranda one last time before covering her head with the hood of her cloak. "Let's go."

The doors closed behind them as soon as they left. Luna looked towards the wide open field that lay beyond them. A distance so wide that separated her from those she loved. She sure hoped that everyone's doing alright wherever they may be. She couldn't wait to see them again and fascinate them with her tale - a tale of adventure, a tale of self-discovery, a tale of master and apprentice.

Luna's journey began with a siege, and it ended with a siege. So what do you all think about her story? Leave it in the comments next to that star button. And while you're at it don't forget to hit that star button in order to show your support for the Resistance.

I'd like to thank all you readers very much for sticking with me throughout this series. Now, I'll be focusing on other things, but don't worry I'm still active on Wattpad. I'll try to respond to your comments and read other people's books. But I don't think any continuation to this series will be coming any time soon.

I dedicate this chapter to sergiosrcaliza who voted on all the chapters of the first book. Here's to you. Enjoy!
