The sisters rode through their legion mounted their hellhound, passing several of the demons under their command. Their numbers may not be very many, but they were confident in their abilities. They intend to use their magic to turn the tides of the upcoming battle. Three cambions with a small legion comprising of less than a thousand should be enough to do it.
"Is everything ready?" Aeziana asked her sisters.
"Ready," Velmaia said.
"So where are we going again?" Haphiri asked. "You haven't really informed us."
Aeziana rode passed them. "The humans have taken the desert, and we're going to take it back."
The girls heard a loud thud from behind them. And upon looking back, they saw a winged demon that wasn't any of theirs. The demon rose to its feet, exposing its wounds and an arrow sticking out of its torso. Haphiri dismounted and approached the injured demon, as did her sisters. "What happened?" she asked gently.
"Seabreeze Landing..." It said under its breath. "Has been taken by the rebels."
The girls looked at each other, by the time they looked at the demon again, it had already drawn its final breath. Haphiri let go of the dead body and immediately some lesser demons begin tearing it limb from limb, eating it as if they hadn't been fed for days.
"So what do we do?" Velmaia asked. "Do we abandon the plan and retake Seabreeze instead?"
"No," Aeziana said with authority. "You girls go retake the desert, I'll handle these rebels." She mounted her hound and began rallying her legion, splitting it with that of her sisters' before riding off with them.
