War (Shogo Makishima x Juui Hwa-Young )

Chapter 3

"You are to take Juui to her room and make sure she stays in bed to get better. You understand Kogami?" Inspector Ginoza ordered. "Yes." Kogami answered whilst slipping his hands under my legs and picked me up bridal style. "Kogami..." I muttered softly. "Yes?" he asked.

"Where are we going?" I muttered again as I covered my face to shield my eyes from the killer bright light. "I'm taking you to our room." He said truthfully. "Our room?" I questioned him "Well it feels like a good time as any to tell you I'd like for you to move in with me." He said with a grin. "Yes..." I slurred as I felt the wave of nausea hit me again.

"Kogami no!" I yelled as I shot up in bed "Jowa!?" he asked as I started to uncontrollably sobbed into my hands. "I.. I just had a nightmare.." I said through my hands. "Please tell me about it. Maybe I can help." he whispered gently into my neck. "I... dreamed you left again but this time you didn't come back.." I started to cry again. "I won't leave you, understand? I love you Juui Hwa-Young more than anything. Recently... whenever I'm with you I feel like a person instead of just a dog." He breathed. "Kogami..." I whispered. "Juui" he whispered back. "I love you too Kogami. Promise you won't leave." I need to hear him say it. "I promise; I won't ever leave you." He declared. "Thank you Kogami." I replied.

"Any time my love." He whispered as he pulled me down and held me to his chest. Another wave of nausea hit me hard making my head spin "Bathroom." Was all I could say as I got up and ran to the bathroom. As I made it through the door I lost the contents of my stomach in the toilet. "Fuck." I muttered. "Are you ok?" he asked anxiously again. "I don't know... I think I'm getting sick." I said. "You need rest. In. Bed. Now." he instructed while I walked back to the bed. "Yes sir..." I mumbled tiredly

"How is she Kogami?" Kagari asked, "She's fine. She just needs rest." He said nonchalantly as usual. "I'm fine Kagari." I said from the doorway. "Juui! You look better!" Inspector Tsunemori exclaimed. "Inspector Ginoza, thank you for letting me rest." I thanked him.

Blushing, Inspector Ginoza grumbled "Yeah, Yeah..." under his breath. "Now that you both are here Kogami, Juui we need you back on the Makishima case." I scowled "Why?" I asked, still scowling at the images flooding back, the death of my brother and sister, their bodies lying broken on the floor of our house, my only family left dead. "You both know how he thinks and thanks to your personal vendettas against you two are our best bet." He said bluntly. "No way!" Kogami declared. "Excuse me?" Inspector Ginoza said awestruck "There is no way in hell she's working on this case!" he yelled.
