Chapter 19

"Why?" Inspector Ginoza questioned me. "Because that was...is my brother and I won't be able to take him down. I'm doing you a favor." I said quietly. Then he did something unexpected. He pulled me into a hug. "Nobuchika!" I said as I pushed him back. "What the fuck!?" Kogami asked from the wagons doorway. "How long have you been seeing each other?" he asked, eyes full of hurt. "What are you talking about Ko?" I asked surprised and annoyed .

"How long has this been going on?" he demanded again. "I just gave her a hug, calm down. Its nothing more, nothing less." Ginoza snapped. "Don't lie to me Juui. How long have you been seeing him?" he asked voce braking at the end. "What? I'm not seeing anyone but you." I said honestly. "Well then what the hell was he doing touching you?" he asked, his sadness turning to anger faster then the drop of a dime.

"He was just giving me a hug! Its not like we were locking lips or some shit!" I said. "If it wasn't like that then why did you push him away when I walked in?" he asked quietly.

I sighed, "Do you really think I would shack up with some guy just because you weren't looking? No offence but Ginoza is so far away from my type it's criminal." I stated. "None taken." Ginoza said. "Kogami you know that I'm not into blonds right? And even if I was I would not make a move on Juui." He clarified

"Is this true Juui?" Kogami asked softly. "Yes I would never do that to you or Gi. I have my family. Why would I want more?" I stated. "And I...I'm in love with someone else..." Ginoza revealed and walked out. "Well I.... I'm sorry JuuiI just came to see if you were ok and the I seen... that and it made me feel... so scared.." he whispered "Kogami?" a girls voice asked he turned around slowly. "Tsugu?" he asked. "Kogami!" the girl exclaimed as she ran into his arms. Anger clouded my vision as I saw her pull his face to hers in a kiss. Stomped out but not before yelling "Fucker...."

"Where is Kogami?" Masaoka asked, studying my face. "I don't know." I whispered, doing my best to hold back my tears. "Juui?" Kogami called. Ignoring him I went over to the ware body was. "Do we know case of death?" I enquired. "Not yet. The bots are still getting evidence." Ginoza said, "Did you two make up?" He asked with a smile. "Fuck if I know. Last I seen he was kissing some chick." I snapped. "What? Who?" He asked, his voice carrying a hint of anger.

"Someone named Tsugu..." I whispered. "I'm going to call Kagari and check up on Esmeray." I said as I walked a little away from the group. "Juui? What's up?" Kagari asked. "I need to ask you about a favor. C-can I stay at your place tonight?" I asked if I could, then i heard Gi watching TV in the background. "Uh sure. Did you and Kogami get in a fight?" I sighed, "I'll tell you when I get back. I gotta go. Bye." I snapped the phone shut in frustration.

I walked back to the wagon in silence and sat as far from Kogami as I could.
