The distance is nothing
but us knowing how we
belong in a universe.
A star, a moon,
a burst of light
or a twinkle in the dark---

we are shining.
The distance is what makes us
wonder out loud;
Who do we shine for?
Are we shining enough?
Does relevance matters
if it arrives a hundred
light years later?

Rotating, revolving,
does the means still matter
nowadays? Our universe
is one big cloud of dust
our light could pierce
even reaching the far void
or the black hole behind,
what counts are the shiny
particles embedded in us,
isn't it?
Isn't it?
Like the singe and the debris
from a firework display
responsible for the sparks
illuminating above
hopeful towns sleeping,
we could be the Big Bang
to a mere stargazer.
