We often hear the phrase " you dont know what you have until it's gone".
That's right. We tend to take things for granted and only truly how much they mean to us when we're close to losing them. And this phrase in particular fits quite well with situations regarding life and love.
"Miss Jennie. The doctor will see you now. Please proceed to the examination room" the nurse said.
"Alright" the girl simple replied.
Jennie is on her way to examination room when she saw a Doctor who was in a deep thoughts who standing and drinking her can of soda.
" Aside from your feelings of responsibility and your duty as a doctor...you feel absolutely no empathy for the families of your patients, do you ?" Jennie asked the doctor straight.
"Uhh ? I...I'm sorry ? Do we...know each other?" The doctor asked wondering cause she dont know the girl in front of her.
"Oh no, not at all hehe. So introduce your self then. I just happened to notice you this morning and I've been wanting to ask you something." Jennie asked again to the doctor.
" I hope I'm not disturbing you too much" the girl said and smiled. She stepped forward to the doctor and she bend to see her I.D.
The doctor step backward cause she's shock what the girl did.
"Um... Doctor Lisa. Hehehe I'm sorry. It's just that I'm nearsighted and I forgot my glasses today" Jennie apologize that she startled Lisa.
Hmm. What a peculiar character and she's cute when she's smiling.
Lisa said to her mind and she didnt listen to Jennie.
Jennie poke her shoulder.
"Oh... What was it you were saying just now ? I wasn't really listening...sorry" the doctor apologize and she scratch her nape.
"My name is Jennie" the girl introduced her self and she showed her gummy smile.

Lisa check her phone cause she receive a text
"I've been meaning to ask you, when you-" jennie stoped when Lisa talk
"Uh... Please excuse me. I have an urgent case I must attend to." Lisa excuse her self and run.
"Oh...kay bye then ! Ugh should've seen that coming. These Doctors are all the same." Jennie uttered to her self.

"Hmm... It hasn't progressed too far yet. We're lucky we found it in time, but the best way out of this is to operate." Lisa told the nurse while she scanning the xtray result.
"I'll go inform the patient and immediate family" - nurse
"Then we'll be good to prepare the OR." - Lisa
"Yes, doctor"
Lisa's out to her office to check the other patients result.
"Oh... Doctor Manoban. Your shift's not over yet ?" Doctor Kang asked Lisa cause she's in the room too to check her patients result.
"Ehh...not for a while. I'm afraid" she joked and scratch her back head
"You've got quite the interesting case on your hands" the young said while shes not looking doctor Kang cause shes looking to the monitor.
"Ah... It's case that was just transferred over to me. That patient's so young though" Doctor Kang explained.
"I'm assuming they've had this since birth ?" Lisa asked.
"Yes... But shes seems to be taking very good care of herself"- Doctor Kang.
"Would it be a bit much of asked to see her history ?" Lisa asked again and this time she looked the doctor.
"Ah. Oh! Not at all. A second opinion from you would be great actually" the elder doctor said and she find the record of the patient. A seconds she handed it to Lisa.
Lisa take the record and she opened it.
It's that the girl from the hallway.
Lisa thought to herself.
"She looks surprisingly healthy for someone with this kind of condition. Haha it's someone hard for me to believe she's suffering from a heart disease." - Doctor Kang
"But it seems like she'll only be spending the rest of hers in and out of hospitals. What a shame... Someone so young should be able to go out and enjoy life to the fullest. Though... She might have a chance at a normal life if she receives a heart transplant." Lisa straightly said while scanning the record.
"Her name is already on the waiting list but... She isnt considered a high-priority case... Plus, finding a compatible donor for her is going to be hard." the Elder doctor explained.
Unbelievable. Her personality's so cheerful and bubbly. Is this attitude... The demeanor of someone who knows full well that they're creeping closer and closer...to death every moment ?
