Shirayuki's Awakening

"Right, we need to get her to a hospital immediately," Kakashi said, picking his student up. "She might not be dead right now but she will be if she loses any more blood. Tazuna, where's the nearest doctor?"

Tazuna, still pale, was quick to inform them. The nearest doctor was a woman who owned a clinic, located in an outskirt area of Wave. The trip there didn't take too long, with Kakashi pulling ahead first and his students keeping up behind at a pace Tazuna could afford to maintain.

"Hello, terribly sorry to barge in," Kakashi said out of obligation as he kicked the door open, shocking the old lady inside. She was old, about fifty years his senior, give or take. Her hair was hanging loosely around her and her whole ankles up to her knees were wrapped in bandages. She stared at Shirayuki, who was bleeding on the bed now, in horror for a single second before snapping to work.

"You!" She pointed demandingly at Kakashi, "Go fetch me the box in the sixth cabinet at the back, third drawer, second row. Now! And I need to know what blood type she is, she needs a transfusion as quickly as possible or she'll die."

Kakashi handed over the box, mind flashing back to the blood type written on her file before feeling a sense of relief when he realised she had one of the least fussy blood types when it came to receiving blood. "Her blood type is AB positive, it's AB."

The Doctor jolted, "AB positive. Does anyone have blood I can use?"

"Use mine, as much as you need," Kakashi held out his arm. The Doctor eyed him for a second before nodding stiffly, gesturing for him to take a seat. That was about when Naruto and Sasuke came into the clinic as well.

"That's... a lot of bags," Naruto said with a pale face, staring at the empty bags which hung above Kakashi.

Yeah, he was shocked too when he saw the Doctor bring out several bags from the box. With the amount of blood Shirayuki had lost, Kakashi figured that she was pretty much one step away from death. Sasuke pursed his lips, standing at the side gloomily.

"Well, you're going to be here for a few hours," The doctor said, tossing her bloodied gloves into the bin. "Her wound is sealed up for now, but I want to know what happened. A sword, I assume, ripped directly into her shoulders and would've torn them off if it went on for a few more seconds."

"By the way, my name is Misaki Sawataru. A pleasure to meet you," Misaki introduced dryly, already reaching to get herself a cup of coffee. Kakashi couldn't even manage to offer a smile, he was too busy staring at the blood which slowly filled the bags up.

"I only need your blood enough for those bags, the rest I can get from the back," Misaki explained. "What's your blood type?"

"O."

"Great. I have enough of those for the rest."

"Is she okay?" Naruto asked.

Misaki scoffed, "Of course not. Whatever the little lady did, she nearly lost her whole arm too. But she was probably smart enough to make sure the injury didn't cut further."

Shirayuki blinked awake, her eyes unable to see anything but pure darkness. Her body didn't feel any pain, nothing was wrong which is precisely why everything was wrong. She froze once she got onto her two feet, something about her body was off. Off in a way she hadn't realised before standing up.
