It was the last class of the day and Janna already wanted to die in a hole. As it turned out, she ended up having most of her classes with Tom. Not only that but they ended up sitting up next to each other because of the dumb teacher's seating chart. It was like the world wanted to punish her for some reason.

She glanced at her neighbor and saw that he was scribbling a sketch. It was of a girl, long wavy hair, flowy dress and barefoot.

She couldn't help but show a barely noticeable smile.

Even after all these years, he still got it.

She quickly averted her eyes back to the front when he looked toward her. Luckily, he didn't suspect anything.

Once class ended, Janna was the last to leave the room, not wanting to get trampled among the hallway crowd. When she took a step out of the room however, a hand grabbed her wrist, pulling her to the side.

What the fu-

Before she could even react, a familiar voice started speaking.

"Janna, I wanna say I'm so sorry about today's incident. I didn't mean to barge in on you."

Oh. That.

Him being 6ft taller than her, she had to look up at him. His face was full of sincerity and anxiety, like he would freak out if she didn't accept his apology.

She rolled her eyes then snatched her wrist away from his grip. "Ok first of all, that hand will be broken if you do that again."

He quickly nodded, fear in his eyes.

"And second-" Before she could continue, she was roughly shoved to the side by a heavy force.

"Woah Janna, already going for celebrities? Never knew you were that desperate."

This day keeps on getting worse. Just my luck.

"Watch it dumbass, or is your brain the same size as your d*ck? Small and shriveled," Janna retaliated back like she would usually do. She wanted to throw her bag right in his stupid face. She still couldn't believe she almost dated him or even associated with him. She would never forgive herself for stooping so low.

"I would watch what you say to me sl*t." Justin stepped forward, as if trying to intimidate her.

She glared in disgust. "Or what."

Before he could respond back, Tom stepped into the conversation. "Hey! You don't call a girl a sl*t, man."

Janna looked up at him and was surprised. If looks could kill, Justin would probably be buried deep into the ground. He furrowed his brows, and was glaring so much that a vein could just pop out.

She had never seen him so angry before but pushed that thought aside and focused on the idiot in front of her.

Justin looked at Tom for the first time and smirked. "Oh look, the big man finally talks. Look, I'm saving you the trouble right now, leave her before she ruins your rep. Come hang with us."

"With a bunch of jerks who think it's cool to degrade a woman? No thanks."

Finally pushing both of their buttons, Justin said, "Janna ain't no woman." He looked at her, "She's a bitch."

Ok, this has been going on for way too long.

As if predicting Tom's next move, Janna acted fast and kneed Justin right in his area. Letting out a silent yelp, he dropped to the floor, holding himself there. She turned and walked away, not wanting to throw anymore attention to herself than needed.

She exited out of the double doors outside the school and took a few steps before hearing the doors open again.

She didn't bother turning around, only focusing on getting to her room.

Tom knew it. He knew Justin would be a problem. He just didn't think it would be so soon...and on his first school day. He couldn't believe the nonsense coming out of Justin's mouth. Tom clenched his fists thinking about how he just trash talked Janna. They might not be friends at the moment, but he couldn't just stand by and let that happen.

And she dated 'him'? I wouldn't believe it even if it came out of her mouth.

Tom walked into their dorm to see Janna digging through the fridge. He walked into the kitchen and placed his bag on the counter, hoping he could get a chance to talk to his new roommate. She pulled out a tangerine and started peeling it, focusing on that only. She walked over to the trash can to finish peeling so he knew she was aware of his presence.

"Hey..."

She raised her eyebrows at him, forwarding him to continue but still focusing on peeling.

That's a first.

He leaned on the counter. Glad that he got her attention, he continued. "So...about today-."

"I'd prefer if you don't talk about my personal business. Or pull that stunt you did."

"Well, I don't really think it's personal since the whole school knows." Right as those words came out of his mouth, he regretted it.

Janna finished peeling and glared at him but starting to walk away from him.

"Wait wait," he immediately stopped in front of her, "sorry, didn't mean it like that."

"It's just, why do you let him call you that?"

She slowly began to eat her tangerine, popping one slice in her mouth. "He's not worth my time or my energy. Plus his brain is the size of a walnut, so if you'll excuse me..."

Tom stepped to the side and let her pass, seeing that was all he was going to get from her.

Hey, at least it was something.

He grabbed his bag and walked into his room. Taking out his laptop, he saw that he was getting a video call from...his parents. He sighed.

Oh brother, it hasn't even been a week.
