"It will be hard to retrieve it but it's in Detective Emerson's office," the researcher says. "At least it was there a year ago."

My countenance becomes perplexed.

"Which office? His former occupation gave me everything that was his which they didn't need for work purposes. Last I checked, CYP is still going and no one outed them," I speak.

"No, not that office. His secret office— the one hidden by the shelf."

I shake my head. "No. We checked everywhere there. There's nothing."

She sighs. "He wouldn't just leave it for anyone to see. I am pretty sure there's a USB drive hidden somewhere there."

"And how will we even get a hold of it when the house is being surrounded?" Delilah asks from her place. I allow my eyes to roam around her as I try to remember where I have seen her before. Silky, straight blonde hair that is held half up, half down. Grey eyes that remind me of the dark clouds on a rainy day. These eyes.

I remember.

I suddenly jolt up from my place and walk towards her. Alexander and the rest give me an estranged look.

"I remember you! You're the girl from 5 years ago!" I exclaim. She furrows her eyebrows in confusion.

"What do you remember about me from 5 years ago?" she responds carefully and slowly.

"Lincoln Griffin? Ring a bell?" I try to remind her.

"Isn't that John Griffin's son?" she looks confused. She doesn't remember.

"Do you remember how you ended up at CYP?" I ask. I'm not sure whether reminding her of what happened 5 years ago would be good but I am certain that it's the same woman.

"Yes. I remember getting knocked out by someone and waking up there but that's all there is to it. I'm sorry but in what way did we used to know each other before? I was experimented on and drugged for a portion of my life so my memory is very hazy. There are a lot of things in life that I don't remember."
