FRANKIE GALLAGHER HAD MASTERED THE ART of stealing years ago, allowing her to successfully expand both her wardrobe and that of her siblings with little to no personal cost. With her changing body starting to take hold, Frankie got her fingers sticky once more. As the buzz of the sewing machine filled the room, the blonde Gallagher girl got to work adapting the clothes she had pinched to match her own taste. Not that she had anything against the clothes the stores had, but Frankie enjoyed making them her own by adding a cinched waist here or a cropped hem there. Only this time around, she was doing the opposite.
Frankie had tried telling her family, but to little avail. Instead, she continued to hide her pregnancy all the while attempting to concoct a plan of action for what she would do. The longer she left it hidden in the back of mind, the deeper the pit in her stomach seemed to grow. Frankie knew the repercussions of keeping her pregnancy to herself would get worse as time dragged on, the reactions she expected from her loved ones escalating with every week that ticked by. Her lower stomach had already started to protrude into a small potbelly. Nobody had even noticed the subtle change in her body yet, except for Frankie herself. The sudden shift in the Chicago weather had permitted her to extract thick jumpers, darker colours and her warm coat from the back of the closet, allowing her to camouflage her body accordingly.
Frankie held up her new light blue top, equipped with an added babydoll waist, and smiled at her handiwork. "That's cute, Frankie," Fiona commented as she hurried into the kitchen, trying to prepare for their weekly Thursday family night - the Gallaghers would all gather round with takeout and watch 60 minutes, adding in their own personal commentary throughout depending on the topic of the week.
