We got her to the med wing, and had begun to go inside. Off to the corner, Alby was chained up, breathing and fighting his ropes.

I frowned, and looked down, wondering if we should have left him to the Griever. If he would be happier dead.

"Jeff, what's going on? What's the matter with her, why won't she wake up?" Newt asked, as I stood beside him, sending one last glance to Alby. Newt was trying his best to act like he wasn't there.

"Hey, man, I got my job the same way you did." I didn't even get a job, not that I would have had time between the running, the maze, and the girl.

It's kind of strange that I was once the girl, and now I refer to her as one. My wish really did come true.

Newt looked back to Thomas, who was watching the girl. Newt studied his face, and moved his tongue in his mouth.

"Well, do you recognize her?" He asked, as Thomas snapped away, looking at Newt. He broke his gaze, from Newt to me.

"No."

"Really? Cause she seemed to recognize you." Newt said, his arms crossed. Minho looked to me, and then to the girl. Two of us. Four days, two of us.

"What about the note?" Thomas asked, referring back to the little piece of paper that said there would never be any more ever. That note? Yeah, that note.

"Yeah. We'll worry about the note later." Newt calmly said, looking down at the girl as I did too. She lay there, still unconscious.

"I think you should worry about it now." Thomas spoke, as we all slowly glanced over to him. Was he trying to give us all panic attacks.

"We've got enough to deal with at the moment." Newt tried to dismiss it again, as Minho and I sat silent. I will admit, Minho was growing on me.

"He's right, Newt." Jeff spoke up, his hands clasped behind his back. He looked a little upset. "The Box isn't coming back up. How long do you think we can last."

I hadn't even begun to think about the supplies that Thomas and I came up with, the basic source for it all.

"No one said that." Newt looked back to me, like he was talking to me too as I nodded slowly. No one said that. "No one said that. Let's not, let's not jump to any conclusions. Let's just wait until she wakes up and see what she knows."

I guess since Alby was hurt, Newt took over, like Alby said he would. But he seemed way too stressed out, and I would be too, but it was hurting me to see him like this.

"Somebody's got to have some answers around here." Newt nodded, deciding on something final. Thomas agreed, and started to walk away.

"Thomas? Where are you going?" I wondered, as he half turned around, looking at me and shaking his head.

"Back into the maze." He stated, as my jaw dropped. Minho and Newt looked at each other, before Minho jogged after him.

I watched, and turned back, looking at the girl. Surely Minho wouldn't let him go alone.

In the silence, all that was audible was Alby's yells and shouts, trying to keep himself together. I looked down, biting my lip as Jeff walked around us, over to him.

I caught Newt looking back briefly, before his eyes found mine. He saw I was looking, and hardened his soft expression, adjusting his gaze to the ground.

"It's okay to be upset." I spoke quietly, looking over to him as he shook his head lightly. He brought his hand to his mouth, messing with it like he had done loads of times.

"I can't." He told me, as I frowned, watching his jaw tense up. He shook his head again, and looked up, then to me. "I can't be upset. I've got 50 boys out there who need me. They need someone strong."

I watched him, studying his face. "Yeah, well, you've got two girls in here who don't want to see you with a tough mask on all the time." I looked down to the girl, and half smiled. "I think she'd say that, I think she'd take my side."

He sat silent, as Alby let out another one of his cries. He tried to harden his expression, but gave up halfway through and let it drop. Revealing his hurt and pained emotions.

I reached over and put my hand on his shoulder comfortingly, and looked back to Alby. I tried to smile at Newt, I tried to be encouraging. "He'll be okay. We'll find something."

"What if we can't?" He asked, sounding more and more like Thomas. I shook my head as his eyes met mine.

"We will." He watched me for a good half a minute, just transfixed on my face, my hand still on his shoulder.

Just then, Minho walked in. I moved, looking back to him, as Newt did the same. "Newt, we've got a Griever out there. We need to take advantage of that." Minho spoke, as I raised an eyebrow. "We're leading out a party in half an hour, Thomas is."

"Okay. Just be careful." He told Minho, who nodded. He started to turn around, before looking to me.

"Parker?" He asked, as I thought about it. I would love to have gone, but something in me was telling me 'no, stay with the sandy haired boy.'

"I'm good." I told him, as him and Newt both seemed a little confused. I shrugged, and looked over to Newt, who was still studying me. "Bring back anything you find?"

"Yeah." Minho nodded, turning and running out the door. I smiled, and looked at Newt, who shook his head, a small smirk on his lips.

"You got anything else to do other than wait for her to wake up?" I asked him, as he looked to the girl and shook his head.

"Nope." I smiled smally and looked around, glancing back to Jeff. Newt watched me, his arms still crossed.

"Me either." I bit my lip lightly, scanning over the girl again, before looking to Jeff again. Alby let out another round of yells and groans, as Newt's exterior cracked a bit more. "Tell us if she wakes up?"

Jeff and Newt looked to me, both of them raising their eyebrows slightly. "Yeah, course." He nodded, as Newt tilted his head slightly.

"Thanks." I smiled and looked back to Newt, reaching down and grabbing his arm. "Come on." I pulled him out the door, as he smally protested, but didn't resist.

"Parker?" He mumbled, as I stopped, letting go of his arm. I pressed my lips together and scanned the Glade.

I hadn't thought it out much, I just knew I had to get Newt out of there. I searched the grass, and the water, trying to find some place to be. I grinned as my eyes found the forest.

"Come on." I looked back, walking forward a bit. He slowly followed, clearly still confused at what I was doing.

"Where on earth are we going?"

"We're going to climb a tree."
