I gasped, dragging Alby around the corner. We were all so much more worn out, it was even harder, and I was trying to take the weight off of Minho. He had been through a whole day of running, and carrying Alby, and then a whole night.

"Why you doing that, greenie?" He asked me, barely getting his words out. He could feel it, the weight I was taking.

"It's Parker." My breath drew out, as I sucked in a whole bunch of air. The adrenaline had started to wear off, and I was feeling all of the bashing and bleeding I had been doing. "And it's none of your-"

I nearly slipped, panting, as our breaths became the only form of noise, even drowning out the sound of our steps.

The walls creaked, as we heard the doors open. We were so close, and just had a few more corners.

"We're right here." Thomas panted, as we turned the corner. The boys had been waiting there, but most of them turned around already.

"No way." Zart said, as his voice echoed down to us. I could feel the dirt and sweat on my face, and the blood on my body, but I had never felt more perfect.

"Yeah!" Chuck shouted, as Thomas's grip tightened, and he pushed harder. I did the same, and practically felt Minho sigh with relief.

We limped him over to the boys, who were watching us. I slowly gave him to the boys, who carried him to the ground. I began to turn, but was quickly stopped as someone wrapped their arms around me.

It was quick, and no one else probably noticed it, but it was Newt. He hugged me, wrapping his arms around my back. He realized what he was doing, before letting himself pull away and leaning by Alby. It was probably not even ten seconds, but it felt like an hour, and my smile was very clearly defined.

I sighed, and let myself collapse to the ground beside Minho, watching Alby. We were all panting, the three of us, as Chuck smiled.

"You saw a Griever?" He asked, like a little puppy. I looked up to him, and the only thing stopping me from laughing was my lack of breath.

"Yeah, I saw one." Thomas nodded, as I smiled, shaking my head. We saw one alright, right up close and personal.

"He didn't just see it. He killed it." Minho added, as a small silence lingered over the boys. They just watched us, trying to see if we were kidding.

Newt looked to me, his eyes filled with so much relief. I nodded smally, and laughed happily, just glad to be alive.

I liked Alby, but I didn't do it for him. Or for me. I did it for Newt.

We were all brought to some sort of meeting place they had, Alby was in the med wing, but we were here because someone was pissed. Could you take a guess? At who would be the only one angry that we saved Alby and killed a Griever? If you guessed bratty mc eyebrows, then you'd be correct.

"Things are changing. There's no denying that." Gally was speaking out, and Thomas and I had our own little chairs at the center, like we were on trial. My feet just nearly reached the ground when I was sitting all the way back. "First, two greenies show up, one a girl by the way, with their rebellious ideas." I rolled my eyes at his statement. "Next, Ben gets stung in broad daylight. And then Alby. Now the greenies have taken it upon themselves to go into the maze. Both of them, like little suicidal twins. Which is a clear violation of our rules here."

I sighed, looking down at my hands, which were folded in my lap. There was no point for this, what did he want to banish us? Because we survived already, we could do it again.

"Yeah, but they saved Alby's life." I half smiled and looked up, to Frypan, who had just spoken. I blinked twice, before looking back to Gally.

"Did they?" I looked to Newt, who was trying not to convey any emotions across his face. But his eyes flashed at Gally, as his head tilted up.
