We had all moved under the tree as the rain started, bringing with it thundering roars and a few cracks of light. And it had started to become later, and they still weren't back.

"They should be back by now." Thomas stated, leaned against one of the wooden poles. I bit my lip nervously and looked over to Newt, who was leaned against a larger trunk, his arms crossed and his fingers tracing his lips. "What happens if they don't make it."

"They're gonna make it." His confidence didn't even waiver as I looked down, my eyes landing on Frypan's boots.

"And what happens if they don't?" Thomas stood up, and walked over to Newt. Newt glanced over to Thomas, and then out to the doors again, as if he didn't have an answer.

"They're gonna make it." Thomas and Newt looked to me and my words, as I shrugged, looking back out at the rain. I watched as a yellow light streaked across the sky, followed by a round of applause from the clouds above.

After a few more minutes, I couldn't take it. I needed to do something to relieve my stress, or distract me. So I stepped out into the rain.

I felt the boys just watch me as my hair got wet, and my shirt, and then the rest of my body. I pointed my head towards the sky, and closed my eyes, running my hands back through my hair.

It was calming, and got more and more calm as I walked out more. I got a few feet away, before sitting down and laying back on the grass, facing the sky.

I could practically feel the dirt and blood washing off of me, and it felt great and refreshing. And made me feel a whole lot better.

I felt the rain slowly come to a drizzle across my face, only after about ten more minutes, before I sat up and looked back to the boys.

Newt was watching me, but so was Gally. And for once, his undeniably thin eyebrows didn't give me a hint at what he was thinking, not even a little one.

My whole body was soaked, but I didn't really mind it that much. I ran my hands through my hair as the boys left the cover, and came out into the grass.

The ground was still wet, but we made our way over to the walls, waiting. We waited, and waited in silence. I wished for the thunder to be back.

By the time the maze doors started creaking, my hair was nearly dry, and there was still no sign of them. I glanced to Newt, who pushed at his lips nervously.

"Come on, guys, can't we send someone after them?" I asked, looking at the boys around me, and then inside the maze again.

"It's against the rules. Either they make it back or they don't." Gally said, for the first time I've ever heard, his words softly. He glanced up to me, he was sitting with his elbows on his knees.

"Can't risk loosing anyone else." Newt looked down to me, his arms still folded, but now it was in a more anxious way. I didn't like seeing him anxious, it made me anxious.

The maze continued to creak, and send gusts of wind our way, as I looked back out to it. As the air flew at us, I had a more rushing feeling, flying through me faster than the dust.

Something bad was about to happen, and I had a feeling I would be the one to cause it.

"Oh no." Chuck muttered, as the walls began closing in. They were slow, but not slow enough.

"There!" Thomas shouted, as I focused my gaze on the far turn. There they were, but, something was wrong.

"Wait, no somethings wrong." Newt pointed out, as Minho yelled out. He was carrying Alby, which meant something happened.
