Dearest Rudy,
Things have changed these past few years.
And now that we are happily married, there is something that is one of the memorable time of our lives.
We had our first child.
But first, I can't miss out on other details and prints, can I?
Anyways, when we had our one week honeymoon in Australia, on the sixth day (which was a Saturday to be exact) you had shown me a house. Our beautiful big house. It was beautiful and peaceful, I can imagine our future chidren playing at our yard. I thought at first that the house was a tourist attraction, but I was in great shock when you told me it was ours. And to think that I didn't even spend a little penny with it, you are incredible.
So from then on we started living at our house now. And the things that we owned back in Germany were brought back by Max and Papa Alex here. They were of course was amazed by our house, and with that they often come here and have their vacation.
A few months later after we started living at our house, I found a job here in Australia as a writer of books published by Autumn Berries Publishing House. I also had a great deal here, because I'm also a column writer of The Australian Times newspaper. You also found a great job. You're a PE teacher of Sydney University and well, you didn't become Jesse Owens. But of course, you still love running and you run marathons too. Even at our age we still have to race back to our house and I rarely win. And if you win, you ask me for a kiss and I would be glad to do so. But if I win, I ask you for buying me a book and you will do so.
9 months later, it was a blessing from Himmel above that they had send us a gift. I was pregnant and when I told you about it, you were really happy. So you really took great care on me, and you always buy me fruits and a lot of milk. It was hard being pregnant, but seeing you talk lovingly to our baby inside and kissing my tummy which makes me chuckle, the suffering that I was facing slowly faded away. When the baby was 5 months old, you became extremely happy when the doctor told us that it was a boy. You're even planning to make him a junior.
And just yesterday, I gave birth to him. It was excruciatingly a painful feeling, but it was still bearable. You even cried seeing me suffer like that, but I didn't feel so frustated. I was so happy with the child I'm bearing.
When the child was conceived, our happiness cannot be expressed with words. The joy of having a child was really a euphoric feeling, and we cried tears of happiness. Instead of naming him like your name, we agreed to name him Tommy in honor of our great friend back in Himmel Strasse, Tommy Müller. When I held Tommy in my arms, I watched Tommy's features and he incredibly looks like you. His little fine hairs were like the color of lemons, his gangly blue eyes and every features definitely was same like yours. I don't know if it ever was my child too. But I'm really grateful to have a child to love especially when he looks like you.
Right at this moment I'm writing you in my desk, and you are really busy with our child Tommy. You told me to rest and go to sleep. And I'm resting ja, und I'm also writing a letter to you.
Ich liebe dich, saukerl. Remember that.
Your ever dearest,
Liesel Steiner
