The school fair is one week apart na lang. They're preparing to the booths, games, etcetera etcetera. But I'm here at the garden. Together with Benj.

Well, tinakot niya lang naman si Jan kaya tumakbo iyon palayo at s'ya ang tumabi sa'kin.

"What you doin' here?" I simply asked and bit my cheesecake.

"Para kumustahin ka kung ayos ka lang ba," he simply replied me.

I tsked.

Bigla na lang itong lumapit sa mukha ko at sinuri iyon. I was a little bit confused of what he doing pero nang dampian ng daliri niya ang gilid ng labi ko, saka ko nalaman kung bakit niya iyon ginawa.

"You're messy," bulong nito.

"As if I punched someone who only wants to help."

"Sorry, okay?" Anito at hinalikan ang aking pisngi.

Minsan, iniisip ko kung isuko ko na lang dito ang sarili ko. Wala naman sigurong mangyayaring masama hindi ba?

Umiling ako sa naisip.

"Are you free tonight?"

"Kada gabi, free talaga ako. Depende sa mood ko kung free ako mamaya," I boredly said.

"Hmmmm, 'kay," anito.

Kumalat ang katahimikan sa'ming dalawa. Medyo nakakabingi pala kapag tahimik.

"Nga pala?" He broke the silence.

I looked at him and wait for him to speak up.

"Are you joining in this coming school fair?" He asked curiously.

"Yeah," I simply replied. "Our professor told me to join for the grades," I added.

"Matalino ka na 'di ba?"

Napangiwi ako. Ayaw ko kasing tinatawag akong matalino. "I'm just a nerd who can bully someone and not wearing eyeglasses." Sabi ko.

"So matalino ka nga,"

"I'm not like what you said. I just....... fast learner," I boredly reply.

Tumahimik ulit kami. I want to tell him kung pwede s'ya gumala sa Saturday dahil gusto ko mag-out of town.

"Ahmmmm,"

I looked at him and glared at him like "what?"

"So, you're free tonight?" He asked again.

Inisip ko na lang na, baka sa pagkakataong iyon ay matanong ko s'ya kung pwede s'ya gumala with me.

I nodded for an answer. He smiled like a shit. He even whispered "yes" when he looked around.

This delinquent guy! Pfftttt.

I stood up and walked straight to our room. Baka kung ano pa ang mga masabi ko dito kaya mas maganda nang umalis.

I even heard him say "sandali" but I ignore him. I just want to step backward from him. This strange feelings kasi, eh.

The afternoon class went smooth. I even got perfect score to our quiz and now, they're planning to do the horror booth to the upcoming school fair.

"Kailangan pa natin isubmit kay pres iyan," sabi ni Celine, ang aming class president.

"I'll go with you," I genuinely said.

They looked at me. Yeah, it was my first time to be with someone than Jan. I used to be like ghost of the room but sometimes, napupuri nila ako sa pagiging mahusay sa klase.
