I brushed my hair, put a hairpin, then checked on my clothes. For my face, I put a little make up to my eyes, my cheek, and lips.
Done.
I decided to wear a long sleeve black and white stripe shirt due to the event was held at night and a knee length godet black skirt. Actually, I just wanted to wear jeans and a shirt, but the ladies suggested to dress up little bit since it was a gig. They said who knew I would meet someone attractive. They kept pushing me to move on from Jordan. It was not like I didn't want to move on. I wanted to. But it was a difficult thing for me since he was my first serious relationship and I had real feelings toward him. There was a pang of hurt in my chest every time I remembered his betrayal toward me. But I quickly shook my head to diminish the thought.
Besides, I had enough testosterone around me, especially since I often hung out together with those three guys. I listened to their conversation and knew one or two or more about what men thought about women, how they deal with them. Sometimes they told me stories about the women that they were close at the moment and I used my ability to dig more information about how they manage to cover one woman to another woman. They were really good at it and it made me became more aware and suspicious to male population around me.
There was knock at the door when I assessed my appearance on the mirror. Grabbing my purse from the desk, I walked to open the door.
"I'm ready Na-," I halted when the door was partly opened and met with blue eyes who were looking at me.
"William?" I was shocked. William Hayes was standing in front of my room door using a black shirt which its sleeve folded until reached his elbow with blue jeans. His blue eyes glint with amusement because of my funny reaction.
" Hi," he said with a smile plastered on his face.
No one has a right to be this handsome and attractive.
I tried to regain my composure and consciousness. Yes, my consciousness that was almost gone because of this shocking figure in front of me. A good one. Inhale exhale. Inhale exhale. I cleared my throat so my voice would not squeak
"What are you doing here?" I asked in normal tone, luckily.
"Naomi and Alex asked me to pick you up to the gigs. They didn't tell you?"
"No," I said while shaking my head and frowning. I bet my expression was weird that time, because he let out short laugh after I said that one word.
I'm going to kill both of them.
"Yeah so. Here I am. And I think that you are ready too," he said while scanning my appearance.
"Yep. " I nodded. "Where are they?"
" They have already gone to the place".
"Ooh.. really," I said while smiling thinking about what I should do to my ladies' friends who set me up. "Let me put on my shoes".
He nodded. I turned around, reached for my flat shoes and put it on, then stepped outside the room and locked the door.
"Let's go," he said smiling politely.
From my room until his car, we did not say anything to each other. I was so nervous, very nervous, I did not know about him though. I glanced at him who was driving right now while clutching my purse that on my lap.
" Nat, what's your friend's name from mechanical engineering major that will play at this gigs?" He started a conversation.
"Caleb. His name is Caleb. Do you know him?"
"I know him but you know.. just know.. never talk," he said nervously. I nodded
"How do you become close with him?" He asked again glancing at me.
