Brown Paper Bag

Characters: Jungkook, Jung Min (OC)

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

The alarm clock sounded waking up Jungmin. She sat up, looked to her left and saw Jungkook sleeping soundly, not awakened by the alarm. "Oppa~" Jungmin shook Jungkook's shoulder lightly. "Wake uuuup"

"Hmmmmm"

Her efforts were wasted as Jungkook just buried his head under the blanket. Jungmin let out a sigh and got up, she thought of preparing breakfast while waiting for her boyfriend to get up. 

"Why is he like this?" Jungmin thought as she got ingredients out of the pantry. "I mean...he's always like this but today...he shouldn't act like this today!"

"Oh, Jungmin Good Morni- YOU'RE CRUSHING THE EGG WITH YOUR HAND"

Jungmin turned around and saw Jungkook pointing at her hand. She just noticed that she accidentally crushed the raw egg she was holding on her hand. "Huh?...OH MY GAHD" She ran to the sink and cleaned her hand. Good thing it didn't drip all over the counter. 

Jungkook walked to were Jungmin was cooking and watched her prepare breakfast. She continued on silently preparing breakfast waiting for Jungkook to say something to her. It was just a day away after today before Christmas.Today was the day were Jungmin would wake up to a smiling Jungkook giving her flowers, cake or a kiss before greeting her a Happy Birthday, but this time, to her disappointment, Jungkook didn't do anything.

"Oh! I have something to tell you..." Jungkook started. Jungmin waited for the next words he'll say. 

"I'll be home late today...We're working on a new dance for a new song"

"Oh"

"Oh?"

Jungmin turned the pancake over. "Nothing oppa...Just wait for the pancakes at the table, they're almost done"

"Ne~" after Jungkook gave his girlfriend a kiss on her cheek, he went and sat on the dining table, waiting patiently for the pancakes.

"Did he forget?!" Jungmin thought to herself as she placed the pancakes on the plate. "Is he sick? or maybe he did forget because of his work?" She walked to the dining table with the plate of pancakes on one hand and 2 empty mugs on the other. Jungkook stood up and took the coffee from the coffee machine and placed it on the table. The two ate breakfast. They chatted now and then but it wasn't like the usual conversations they had. Jungmin wasn't as cheerful as before and Jungkook didn't try to keep the conversations going.

"You looked stressed...are you okay?" Jungkook asked his girlfriend. Jungmin gave a weak nod and gave a smile. "I'm still sleepy that's all"

Jungkook nodded and took the empty plates and mugs to the sink. He was washing the dishes when Jungmin then decided to give Jungkook a hint about her birthday. She cleared her throat "Oppa...are you forgetting something? Something that's happening today?"

"Something that's happening today?" Jungkook looked at the calendar below the wall clock. The sound of running water and dishes can be heard. "AH!" he immediately turned the faucet off and wiped his hands on his pants. "I'M LATE!" He ran to their room and closed the door behind him,leaving a sad and disappointed Jungmin alone in the kitchen. She gave out a sad sigh and stood up to continue washing the dishes.

Jungkook left the room after a few minutes and passed by the kitchen. "I'll be going now!" he said as he dashed to the front door. Jungmin ran after him and stood infront of Jungkook who was hurriedly wearing his shoes. "Stay safe~"

"Ne~" Jungkook held the doorknob.

"Yah! Oppa! Good bye kiss?"

"Ahh...I'm so late now..." and with that Jungkook closed the door and left.

Jungmin stood still, staring at the door, sadness creeping over her. "Not even a good bye kiss? Does oppa hate me now?"

She shook her head. "No No...He's just stressed, that's all...stressed and tired that he didn't remember my birthday..." Tears suddenly rolled down her face which took her by surprise. "Wh-why am I crying?!" She wiped her tears away and walked to her and Jungkook's room.  She jumped on the bed and buried her face on the soft pillows. Jungmin then continued sobbing into the pillows, letting out her frustration and disappointment. 

BEEP BEEP BEEP

Her alarm sounded again. She forgot that she had set the alarm to repeat. She sat up and got her phone that was beside a brown paper bag that caught her eye. After turning the alarm off, she took the paper bag that had writings on the other side.

"Very important. Don't forget to bring to the company. IF YOU DO YOU'RE AS STUPID AS JIMIN"

"Aish, this maknae" Jungmin laughed."How can he forget this? Was he sooo stressed that he forgot everything he had to remember?" She stood up and got dressed as she decided to stop by the company and bring the paper bag to Jungkook. 

After a half an hour had passed, Jungmin left the house to go to Big Hit's building. Thankfully, it was just near and only took her half an hour to reach her destination by taxi.  She went up using the elevator and walked to the practice rooms.

Before Jungmin could knock on one of the practice room's doors, she felt her phone vibrate. She took it from her pocket and read the text message. There was no name and all the text said was. 

"The brown paper bag is for Jungmin"

Jungmin knocked on the door, putting the text message aside. 

"Who is it?" Jungmin heard someone ask from the other side of the door.

That's weird. Why didn't they just open the door? Jungmin thought to herself. "It's Jungmin"

Jungmin had her hand on the door knob that turned. The door opened revealing an empty and dark practice room. She walked in, leaving the door behind her open. But as soon as she took a few steps away from the door way, the door closed making the room pitch black as she felt someone's arms wrap around her waist. Jungmin let out a scream, clutching the brown paper bag tightly. She suddenly felt familiar lips on hers as the light turned on.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUNGMIN! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUU!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYY! HAAAAAPPYY BIRTHDAYYY TO YOUUUUU" the other members of Bangtan emerged from their hiding places, singing loudly.

The face pulled away revealing Jungkook's smiling face. 

"Do you have the brown paper bag with you?"

I nodded and showed it to him. "Open it"

Jungmin opened the paper bag and saw a box, she took it out and realized it was one of those jewelry boxes with velvety blue covers. She opened it and revealed a simple silver necklace. Tears of happiness were forming on her eyes as Jungkook took the necklace and walked behind her. He placed the necklace around her neck and leaned forward. Jungmin could feel Jungkook's breath on her neck.

"Happy Birthday"

Sorry for the randomness hahaha...Is it random? I thought it was...well...anyway...this one shot was requested by Jungminnnnn (I hope I used your name right ) I hope you liked it~ 

Hey guys~ mind requesting other members than Jungkook when requests are open again? Hahahaha...The maknae as way too many one shots already...but if you want a Jungkook one it's fine XD I enjoy them anyway since he's mah bias...just sayin...give love to other bangtan people....that's all I guess?
