What? No punishment?
"In fact, it makes sense to lift the previous punishment as well," Coach Baines says, and I narrow my eyes. This is so odd. There's no way- we got sent to the principal's office.
Coach Johnson sees our shocked faces and smirks a little. "Well, we said it would last until you'd learned to tolerate each other to a sufficient extent. I'd say that you've definitely done that."
Okay, fair. I don't think that's a huge problem anymore.
"We would like to know, though;" Coach Baines turns to Nate and Levi, frowning. "How come you weren't with them today?"
"It seemed unnecessary for us to be there to prevent them from fighting when their only distraction from working seemed to be making out," Levi answers smoothly.
"They wouldn't if you-"
"They would," Nate interrupts Coach Johnson. "They definitely would."
That's true. I had been hoping earlier for time alone with Jordan today, but if Levi and Nate were present, I probably still would have kissed him. They're our best friends- their presence can be considered negligible.
"Alright, that's fair," Coach Baines says, before turning back to Jordan and I. "Anyways, consider your punishment lifted. Except for the things you've already committed to. You still have to do those."
Levi looks relieved, probably since Jordan and I have been assigned all of the high-effort tasks for the pancake breakfast.
I nod. "Got it, Coach."
"Alright, you're dismissed. Chase, Levi, basketball practice."
We both nod, and the coaches go to do whatever coaches do. I look back at Jordan, immediately leaning down to press my lips to his. He hooks an arm around my neck and holds me there, kissing me back.
"Guys. We've got stuff to do."
Jordan slips his tongue into my mouth momentarily, then releases me and pulls away. "Like what, Nate?"
"Like figuring out when you're going to finish everything for the pancake breakfast," Levi says, smirking.
I roll my eyes. "My house after basketball practice?"
"No," Nate says. "Neither of your houses. Bad idea. My house."
"Fine with me. Levi, let's go." I start to walk towards the locker rooms, but Jordan catches my arm and pulls me back. I let him, even though he's so much more muscular than me that I probably wouldn't be able to stop him anyways. We meet each other's lips halfway, before I force back my mind's perpetual chant of Want him want him want him and throw him a smirk before leaving.
Basketball practice goes really well, which is great and puts me in an extra good mood. I shower, then Levi and I drive to Nate's house. On the way there, he lectures me about actually working and not just goofing off with Jordan. I roll my eyes but agree to everything he says.
"And you're not going to just start making out, right?"
"Right."
"And you're actually going to get work done?"
"Right."
"And you're not even going to so much as look at Jordan the entire time?"
"Ri- no!" I glare at him. "If you think I could keep myself from even looking at him for several hours, you have waaaaaay too much confidence in my willpower. And also how much I'm actually willing to attempt to do."
