Chase and I go over to either Levi or Nate's house for the rest of the week to work on the pancake breakfast stuff for student council. On Friday, though, Chase comes up behind me while I'm at my locker after dismissal. My class is closer to my locker than Nate's is, so I usually get here a minute or so before him, which is (thankfully) the case today. Chase slides his hands around my waist from behind, leaning over my shoulder to nip at my ear. I take a breath to keep from moaning out loud.
"You busy tonight?"
"No."
"Wanna come to my house?"
"Yes. Definitely yes."
He lets out a content hum as he pulls my back against his chest. It takes all my willpower not to just fully relax into him and let him do whatever he wants with me. "I'm glad," he murmurs, pecking my cheek. "I'm very glad."
"I'm sure you are," I say, craning my neck so I can access his lips. He grins and plants his mouth on mine. After a moment, he pulls back, still smirking.
"You need a ride?"
"Wouldn't mind one."
"Okay. I'll pick you up around seven."
"Are you treating me to dinner, too?"
He smirks. "I can order pizza."
"Sounds good."
"Are you guys canoodling in the middle of the hallway? Because gross. Move," Nate says as he pushes me so he can get to his locker. I roll my eyes and Chase (unfortunately) releases me.
"We're not in the middle of the hallway. We're politely to the side," Chase says.
"And we're not even really canoodling," I say. "He's behind me, and it hurts my neck to turn backwards and upwards."
Nate snorts. "But otherwise, you would be?"
"Probably," Chase admits. I grin a little.
"Seriously, get a room," Nate grumbles, and I immediately press my lips together and feel my face turn entirely red. Nate blinks, then looks between Chase and I. "Oh, is that the plan?"
Neither Chase or I answer.
"Well, try and make sure it's not the storage room this time," Nate says, smirking a little. "And may I remind you that there is basketball practice right now?"
"I'm aware of my practice schedule, thanks," Chase says, rolling his eyes.
"You sure about that?" Nate asks as he hoists his bag back onto his shoulder.
"Fairly," Chase replies drily.
"Alright, well, I'll be waiting outside," Nate tells me, leaving.
I look back to Chase, who's checking the time. "I should probably get to practice. I'll see you-"
"Hey, 'scuse me, but are you guys dating?"
We both turn to face some girl, whose friends are a few metres away, whispering to each other.
"None of your business," Chase tells her, then turns back to me with a slightly suspicious gleam in his eye. "I'll see you tonight, babe."
He slams me against the locker behind me, and I correctly guess his next move of smashing his lips into mine, which gives me a chance to put my arms around his neck ahead of time. I groan a little into his mouth, mostly for show, and when he pulls away, the girl is staring at us like she's been scarred for life. Chase just smirks as he gives me one last glance before leaving. I quickly book it outside where Nate's waiting before I can get bombarded with questions.
