Distant screams during a reunion of friends could be heard. I was back at school at last!!! The fresh flowers in the court, the pool glimmering in the cove, it was as if it had put on its best clothes for the first day back! The summer term: Probably the best, sometimes Mam'zelle even let us skip French and was extra nice Detentions, tricks to play on teachers, homework- school was so much fun, thought Mia as she hugged Mr and Mrs Cubbon, her parents a last goodbye. "Hello Mia, you never replied to my letters in the hols, why?!" Screamed Carrie, half a mile down the road. "Because they were so mean: I couldnt believe what I saw at first, how could you?!" I shouted, pulling out one of her handwritten scruffy letters. Shocked. It was the only thing that could describe what was on her face- or what she showed on the outside- the inside she remained secret. "I never wrote these, why, I sent you an invite to a party- not this!" She exclaimed. Puzzled, worried and confused- was Carrie speaking the truth, or was I just mad. No, I was sure my eyes weren't tricking me, it truthfully read:

Dear Mia (or should I say Mia-cat!)

Can't wait to see you back at school (sarcasm) you would never make head girl- even in your wildest dreams. No wonder nobody likes you- even Mam'zelle detests you!!

From 'your' best friend,

Carrie Edwards.

No only that, but more letters arrived every day- could Carrie guilty, or was someone using her name so she wouldn't get blamed? But when school started, I knew the letters would would stop arriving, but no.... It just got worse.. And worse. Until it got to unbearable to even search for the writer of the letters...

Almost everyday letters came in; but only mine had changed- why was it me? Why out of everyone me?

More to the fact;

Who was changing the letters?

I think I've jumped a bit too much at the start so, yeah, nothings happened in the holidays except  she has started receiving distress notes in reply of her letters: I couldn't of bored you too much could I! If you think this is too like a bunny going to the shops then coming back with some carrots, and having a real cute time, then, well it's not for a start, but check out Ghost Train, by me! It's about a train with no p... Oops! I shouldn't tell you anyway! Bye****
