Lena's POV
I was finally going home. I sat in between Harry and Zayn as Liam drove toward the house. Niall and Louis had returned the home yesterday-we wouldn't all fit in the car. There was an argument on who would go home.
"Well I'm not leaving her." Liam had said.
"No ones asking you to." Zayn had replied. "But Lena wants me here."
"I'm not leaving!" Harry had cried suddenly. He'd been acting weird since Alan was here.
"Alright! Harry, you can stay. Louis and I will head home." Niall had said.
They left and Liam and I had been alone for awhile. We weren't talking much. I was still mad about him not telling my parents.
I was also a little upset that my birth parents that had begged to get me away from the people who raised me didn't even bother to come see me at the hospital. And Liam did tell them.
As we drove, Liam and the others pestered me endlessly, asking if I was okay, if I wanted anything, if I was in any pain. It was annoying.
"I'm fine, Liam." I snapped when he asked me if my leg hurt for the hundredth time.
"I'm just worried about you, Lena." Liam said. He looked like a kicked puppy. I felt a little bad, but probably not enough.
"I'm fine." I repeated. I didn't want help. Not his or anyone's.
Harry took my hand. "It's okay to need help," he said sweetly, as if he read my mind.
"Well I don't need it." I said.
"Leave her alone, boys." Zayn said. "I'm sure Lena will tell us if she's having trouble."
I looked at him thankfully. "Thanks," I whispered.
"No problem." He said back.
Liam was quietly driving along when I saw a McDonald's coming up. As if it had eyes, my stomach growled. I put my hand over it quickly to quiet it. I would die of embarrassment if Harry heard my stomach demonstrating whale songs.
"Liam?" I asked.
"Yeah?" he replied.
"Can we get some food?"
"Sure. Do you want McDonald's?" he asked.
"Please." I said.
Liam turned into the drive-thru and parked in line. There was a long line, and my stomach growled again. "Did you eat breakfast?" Harry asked.
"Yes." I lied. I tried not to blush now that know he could hear it.
"What would you like, Lena?" Liam asked.
"Food." I answered.
Chuckling, Liam ordered us all some Big Macs. He handed me one and drove back to the apartment. I didn't even wait to get home before I started eating. Harry grinned at me as I did. "Sorry." I say, covering my mouth.
"What are you sorry for?" He asks. But I don't get the chance to answer because Liam arrives at the apartment.
Louis opened the door when we got there. "Lena, my love!" he shouted.
"Louis," Liam said warily.
Louis threw the car door open and put his arms around me. "Louis!" Harry shouted.
"Calm down, I would never hurt my Lena." Louis said as he very gently lifted me out of the car.
"Louis, wait. I can walk." I said, though I knew I couldn't. Besides, Liam and Harry would start fussing over me again if I tried.
