Liam's POV

I couldn't get ahold of Lena, but after about an hour of trying,  I got a text from Harry.

*Lena is with me and we're getting some food. We need to talk when we get back. You hurt her feelings pretty bad. Maybe you should watch what you say.*

Rolling my eyes, I texted him back and thanked him for taking care of her. Who was Harry to tell me how to talk to my own sister? According to Zayn, he was the one who hurt her feelings during the interview the other day!

Granted, he was right. I knew Lena took a big leap of faith when coming here, and that she felt alone and I ruined that by telling her I should have left her in America.

What had I done? I hated that I said what I did. I hated that I hurt her. I hated that I'd meant to hurt her. I felt like a terrible person.

I texted Zayn, explaining what happened and that Lena would return his car as soon as she got home. That way she wouldn't have to worry about dealing with him or explaining why his car was missing and worry about upsetting her friend. Then I went and collapsed on the couch. I was going to wait here for her to come home and then I would talk to her. She was with Harry now. She was fine.

Louis came in and crossed his arms. "Aren't you supposed to be looking for Lena?" he demanded. I very rarely saw Louis angry, but when he was it wasn't pretty. He was definitely angry now.

"I know where she is. She found Harry and they went to eat. I figured she could use the time-" I began.

"Damn it Liam!" Louis yelled. "Do you ever fucking do something for yourself?! When she got hit by a car, who did you send to get her? Zayn. When she was upset over what Harry said in the interview, who did you send to talk to her? Zayn. And now you've replaced Zayn with Harry because Zayn's busy?! You realize if you'd gone looking for Lena before you sent Zayn she may not have been hit that night? You keep sending her away, and then you send one of us to bring her back! Get your sorry ass up and go fucking talk to your sister yourself you asshole!"

Completely shocked by his outburst, I stared at Louis in total silence. I'd never seen him this angry before. He never cussed me out before. He never even yelled at me before now, other than his general loudness.

He was obviously angry that I was staring at him and not taking his advice, though I knew I should.

"What are you waiting for?!" he demanded.

Without a word, I scrambled to my feet, grabbed my keys, and went to my car. I used my own phone to track Lenas and figured out which cafe they were at. She wasn't far from here.

Louis was right. It was time I talked to my sister instead of making everyone else do it for me. I started my car and floored it out of the driveway, hoping she would listen to what I had to say.

Lena's POV

"Alan, what are you doing here?" I asked. I didn't know why I asked. The cafe was a public place. And I didn't have to know where Alan was every second of the day-though he never showed me the same courtesy. I was constantly bombarded during the days we didn't spend together. He texted me constantly, demanding to know where I was and getting angry when I didn't text back quickly enough.

"Eating. What are you doing here?" he asked. He didn't look happy. I guess I should have told him I was coming here, except I'd been preoccupied.

Before I could answer, he asked me another question. "Where are your contacts?" he asked.

"They-" I began. He wasn't going to like the fact that I had decided I didn't want them after he harassed me so much to get them.

"What are you doing with him?!" Alan broke in, noticing Harry. His anger doubled, and I saw the rage in his eyes. I was familiar with that look. He was about to start a fight. I needed to talk him down.
