After that encounter, the four children left them alone and they just went to the internet cafe. Sitting down to play some good old Overwatch, which was oddly, still fairly popular, although the craze has settled down a bit, they started talking about surprises. Harin started talking about it first. "Well, that was surprising. Wonder what's coming at us next."

"Not sure," Siwoo sighed. "I'm kind of tired, though."

"Same here!" Harin agreed. "The week is very stressful... I don't mind staying up late, but it's weird staying up late outside and not going home."

The sun had already fell, and the moon overlooked the city. Seungjin checked his phone. "It's 8 right now. You guys think we're going to get in trouble?"

"Look," Harin laughed. "One time, we got home at 11pm. I think we're fine."

"Alrighty," Siwoo concluded. "We're going home! Right! Now!"

Out of the shadows, a mysterious man came out of nowhere. "Good evening, children. I'm looking for someone named Seungjin Lee."

"Well, uh, I have that name," the boy nodded. "But, we're in Seoul, I think it'll be hard to pinpoint an exact-" He was interrupted by a grunt, and the man held out a picture.

He then explained. "I'm searching for this lady's son."

"Yeah, no doubt about it," Harin figured. "That's your mom. Same eye color, same hair color. Look, she's even wearing Eunha's pretty worn out nightgown. Why is this the only picture of her you have, though? Isn't this from when she was like... 12?"

"I'm not sure either," the man explained. "I was just provided with this picture. Anyway, if you are very sure that you're in relation to this woman, I'll need to discuss some things with you."

Harin was skeptical, but she remembered some self defense techniques in case she's in danger. "Let's go see what all of this is about."

The three of them followed him inside an abandoned building. Siwoo was scared about what was going to happen. "What happened to 'Don't follow strangers?' Aren't you worried?"

"Well, if he happens to know Mom," Seungjin said. "I think I should know what's going on."

Eunha was walking around, trying to find Seungjin. "Hey! Seungjin! Mom told me to come home with you, remember?" By luck, she found the abandoned building and entered it, seeing the trio through the window. She went inside. "Seungjin! Where are you?"

"Right here!" he called. Despite the sun being down, Eunha could see him and she ran over to him.

Confused on the situation, she asked simply, "Who's that?"

"I'm Herring," he introduced himself. "By the order of the secretary, no, the king, I am to inform you that Luna, here, is one of the contenders for the role of the heir to the throne."

"I'm confused," Harin said. "Am I a princess or something?"

Siwoo laughed. "No, I think he's talking about Eunha. Wait, then what about Seungjin?"

"Ciel's power had disappeared 24 hours after birth due to a malfunction in the merging system," he explained. "So, he's entirely human. However, in Luna's case, we had found a power inside of her that surpasses that of any vampire of our current generation, of course, since I'd expect nothing less from the child of the king. It's just a shame she ages like a human."

Seungjin was astonished by the information. "So, my little sister is a vampire. A danger to society."

"Her weak state has made her unable to awaken this certain power," Herring sighed. "I'm confident she will be able to awaken it, however. Some good news for humans is that she can't manifest this power in the daytime."

Siwoo was relieved. "Oh, thank goodness." Then, he saw Seungjin staring off into space. "Huh? Is there something wrong?"

"Nothing," he replied. "It's just that, there was always something different about her, but I never imagined she'd be a vampire."

As for Eunha, she was very surprised. "So, all that about me being a vampire. That stuff is true. And my dad isn't just any vampire, he's the king of them."

"I'll leave for some important business," Herring said, as he disappeared.

The group went out of the abandoned building and towards Seungjin's house. Eunha rambled like a child. "Why do I have to be a contender for the throne after my dad dies? Why couldn't I just be a simple human like Seungjin? Why do I have to have the power? I don't wanna become a queen!"

Harin didn't know how to calm her down, since she has never seen Eunha like this. Seungjin couldn't either. Usually she gets upset at home and has her mother calm her down. Now, he was thinking of what his mother would do. And then Eunha kept on talking. "I don't wanna fight anyone! I'm just in 4th grade, I can't rule an entire species..."

Siwoo just patted Eunha's head, not caring if he gets slapped. "It's a big responsibility, but we're always here. Just know that."

"I know that already," Eunha pouted. "Stop telling me things I already know!" With that, the night was quiet and they dropped off the two siblings off at their house. And Harin went home alone, which was... quite unusual since Siwoo's home was in the same direction as hers, meaning, they could talk with each other while walking home. But, they were surprised about Eunha snapping.

It was a side of her that they had never seen before. However, the fact that Eunha was a child had never changed. Despite her quiet demeanor, this behavior is expected from any elementary school student, even her. Her age is not to be forgotten.

Meanwhile, Eunha was skeptical about the entire situation. Something about Herring was very weird. The part where Eunha can awaken her vampire power in the night was believable, because it was so specific.

And then, Seungjin had a lot in his mind, but the main thing was his worry about not being strong enough to protect his younger sister. But their minds stopped worrying as the front door opened.

"I'm home!" their mother called out.
