Chapter 8: Lunch Break!

Kya POV-

The Pretty Lady announced that we would be starting soon and I looked over to my teammates who looked pretty pumped up! We decided that I would be on the top of the pyramid because I was the lightest.It was cool that I got to be on the top because I was leading our group into battle! Invis- chan was going to be in the front of our group leaving Turnip- kun and Tailman- kun on the sides. I tied the headband with our combined scores on one of my space buns, well Invis-chan helped me since I couldn't see. I then shoved Mr. Unicorn down my shirt and got my game face on. We finally got into position and Pretty Lady said we could start.

Immediately everyone started to go for Broccoli-kun and his team, while my team said that we could just pick off the others that went for him. It did not take very long for us to get a few more headbands that would guarantee our safety into the next round. After that it was not very exciting. Sometimes Turnip- kun would have to send another team away with his power and other times Invis- chan would blind them momentarily for us to get away. The round ended with Halfie- nee's team in first, the Pomeranian's in second, us in third, and Broccoli- kun's in last.

Pretty Lady said that it was now time for a fighting tournament. She then had us give our attention to a big screen that had question marks where all our names would go. She said that after a lunch break and a few extra games that we would start the tournament. FOOD! I quickly ran over to Ninja- nee to go eat with him, Koda- chan, and Emo- kun. I heard shouting from my cavalry teammates but I just wanted to go and eat. I reached Ninja- nee and climbed up onto his shoulders. He looked up and gave me a smile through his mask. I appreciate when Ninja- nee smiles at me. We walked over to a food stand to order something.

We waited in line behind someone who looked like a pretty hero. She had a skin tight suit and looked like she had two horns on. She was also talking to someone that looked like a tree-man. She was talking to the food stand owner about letting her slide on the payment. I looked down at the lady. " Do you need money mountain- chan?" The mountain- chan and tree- man turned around and looked up at me. " You're that girl from 1-A!" I closed my eyes and gave her a smile, " Yup that's me, and I think I have some extra money for you!" Ninja- nee looked up at me and I could see him laughing silently. I pulled money out of my sports uniform and handed it down to her. She smiled but looked super confused, I shrugged and asked Shoji to move up in the line and order me something. I handed him down some money and asked for the number three. We stood there and waited in line for our food while the two heroes stared at us. We then waited for Koda- chan and Emo-san to order their food. We then took our food and sat down at a table.

We then started to eat, and I watched as the two heroes walked over to us. I looked up from where I was sitting and stared up at them blankly. " Why did you pay for her young lady?" " It looked like she was trying to con that old man out of getting his money for all his hard work!" I started to pout at her. It is not at all fair to that old man. When Gon had taken me to go visit Mito- san she told me to always respect those who make your food. The Mountain Lady obviously did not know this!

They looked at me like I had lost my mind. " I was not trying to con him out of getting paid." She pouted a little. The Treeman looked at me and then looked at her and he shook his head. " You were obviously trying to get free food." She looked offended that he had not sided with her. Emo- san laughed and called this a mad banquet of darkness. Eventually she gave up and walked away. The Treeman followed her. I think he was on babysitting duty.

Ninja- nee said it was almost time for the first round of the end fighting tournament. They did not announce who we were going against in the third event of the sports festival. This is going to be soo much fun! I want to try and win this thing!

Somewhere far away but actually that far away

??? POV-

What in the world is this place? I looked around and saw a flashing light with moving people. The box was blaring sounds about a fighting competition. I looked and saw her. She was fighting and smiling. It had been so long since I had seen her. It had been two weeks since she disappeared from walking back home. Everyone had been looking all over for her. This is a huge relief. Now I just need to find out where this is. I tap the man next to me, " Hey, where is this happening?" He looked at me like I was stupid. " It is at U.A. High." "And where is that at?" " Right down the street man. Why do you ask?" I just turned around and started to walk towards where that man had pointed.
