Kya POV:
The first seed matches were almost finished. The only match to be completed was Tailman-Kun v.s. Sharky-KKunI was curious who would win the match, they were a bit of an equal match for one another. They were almost complete opposites in the fact that one thought through every single move and the other likes to rely on animalistic instincts.
I was rooting for Sharky-kun as he was the first person to be nice to me when I came to this place. But I digress.
I knew when the match was about to start when an uproar of cheers erupted from the crowds of onlookers. I looked down to see Tailman's tail wagging nervously. Sharky-Kun on the other hand was super confident and continued to egg on the crowd by showing off how manly he was!
I laughed at his antics and continued to weigh the odds of who would win. The match started with an immediate, ¨Go!¨ from the Pretty Lady, who I have been told is called Midnight. The two were off with a bang with an immediate right hook to the stomach from Tailman-Kun. Sharky-Kun decided that instead of doing to harden his stomach instead.
By the time Tailman-Kun had reoriented himself from his attack, a charging redhead was coming for him. Before Sharky-Kun could get his attack to land Tailman-Kun had already used the momentum from Sharky-Kun's charge to jump above the redhead. As he started coming back down to Earth (because of our good friend Gravity that Kirby has no respect for) he sent a kick aimed at Sharky-Kun's head.
The kick met its target and Sharky-Kun went down for all of 2 seconds. Tailman-Kun was then met with a vicious uppercut in the jaw he was not expecting to come as fast as he did. Tailman-Kun continued his descent to the ground while being passed out. Sharky-Kun had won the match. KNOCKOUT!
Fun to see that Knockout wins were still overly exaggerated as they were in Heaven's Arena. Always a fun memory to relive full of intense training (*cough* torture *cough*) with Illumi-nee. At least in these matches, you were not allowed to just kill your opponent as both combatants need to survive to be heroes. Killing a fellow hero in training would not go well on your resume.
Tailman-Kun was carted away on a stretcher while Sharky-Kun was being praised for winning the well-fought battle. I looked up at the big screen to find out what the next match was going to be. I clapped my hands in excitement, the next match would be between Broccoli-Kun and Halfie-nee. Interesting!
I wasn't the only one vibrating with excitement, the whole crowd was in total agreement with my emotions. This was supposedly a very anticipated match that came way sooner in the tournament than expected. (Assuming they both made it to the final match)
After listening to my classmates as they had filled me in on the fact that I missed a whole declaration of war. So I guess that added even more anticipation for those who were there to hear it. See who would come out on top in this ¨war¨.
The fight started with them both talking, they started to just test the water out by slightly attacking each other. Mostly messing around before they got serious with their punches. In the end, there was a huge clash of power when they both went at each other full power. The man made of cement put a barrier up between the two of them, but I could still feel the repercussions of the collision from where I was sitting.
The power they both had just exerted meant one single thing: they still had a long way to go to even get close to say... Canary-chan's level. I think the reason for that was the difference in how power was acquired in each world. IN our world you had to learn of the power, as the main populous were just planted with the image of Hunters were just ordinary people like them with immense strength.
In this world they were born with this power, it was almost given to them on a silver platter that they could take and just go and expand on it. I feel the fact that we had to strengthen our mentality at the same time as our strength, we came to learn that we were people and we are powerless at the same time of having all the power we needed to protect ourselves and others.
Enough of my mental rant, it is time to watch and pay attention to the next match. The match was between Emo-Kun and Alien-chan. I could already tell from a glance and overview of their skills who would win. There was a clear power difference between the two. Dark Shadow-chan was strong and did all the work needed to win, and paired with Emo-Kun's smarts they easily outmatched Alien-chan. The facts were harsh and blunt but they were true and unbiased.
As I had predicted the match ended as quickly as it had started and it was supposed to be my turn to go again. I was supposed to go against Robo-Kun but he bailed last minute for a family emergency. Not minding the fact that I got a free win others just congratulated me on making it to the semifinals. Honestly, what is up with these people?
As my match was canceled the next match started up. This one would be between Pomeranian-Kun and Sharky-Kun. As much as I wanted Sharky-Kun to win, he would lose to a battle of stamina. As expected the result was he could not harden his body enough to outmatch Pomeranian-Kun's explosions, and he lost.
Sharky-kun still came off the pitch with a smile on his face, knowing that he still had accomplished a lot as he made it that far. All of those who had made it to the semifinals (including me) walked down to the waiting rooms while the Cokatooman hyped up the crowds.
The semifinals' matches were not looking very fun for me, as I would need to beat Halfie-nee when I wanted to take another nap. It has been too long of a day. But I guess I might as well give everybody a reason to congratulate me. Halfie-nee and I were the first up in the semifinals matches so we went to go and take our starting positions. We wished each other good luck as we parted ways.
Why were these tunnels so dark? Was this making it easier for them to blind us when we walked out? Make us in a disoriented state before we fight? It is not because U.A. cannot afford lights, does the creature that owns this place wish to watch us suffer?
Meh... I closed my eyes before fully exiting the tunnel to make it easier to see. When I opened my eyes back up I was met with a soft gaze from Halfie-nee. I then spoke up, " Don't worry about going easy on me, unless you want to end up severely hurt." Halfie-nee's eyes widened for a fraction of a second before he calmly replied, "I guess I shall take your warning to heart." I sent him a soft glare as if telling him that he would not be even a bit of a challenge if he only used half of his full power.
Unsure if he wanted to believe my confidence or not I just shrugged and turned my attention back to Miss Midnight. She was looking both of us up and down with a pitying look in her eyes. I know I am good but wouldn't she think that maybe Halfie-nee had a slight chance?
Miss Midnight gave out a loud sigh and signaled for everyone to be quiet. Everybody gave her the utmost attention as she began to speak. "This is the first semifinals match, Todoroki v.s. Zoldyck." My lip curled into a frown as I heard my last name, I should get them all just to call me Kya. I then gave my attention back to her after I was done pouting. "This match will follow the same rules as the previous matches. So we will begin in 3... 2... 1... GO!"
And with that, the horses off to the races as the competition was on. My mouth turned upwards with excitement, and it settled into a smirk.
??? POV:
I had finally made it to this so-called hero school named 'U.A.'. Finding Kya-chan was not that hard as I could never forget an aura like that... I licked my lips and strode briskly into the school. Keeping my excitement at bay would be hard to do but I don't want to alert her of my presence just yet, now do I?
I looked up at a screen with Kya-chan fighting. The one she was fighting would be no match for her, she needed more of a challenge than that. I smirk as I follow others walking into the seating areas. It was time to crash this party.
A/N: Thank you al for giving me suggestions on who this mystery person should be, it has been chosen so get ready for the reveal soon!
