"I might be able to explain what happened!"

We looked at Scar, who, in all the commotion, had come back inside and come up to us after Mumbo was gone.

"I might be able to see if what Mumbo was doing was connected to something. I have a journal of my supernatural experiences that involve items, curses, and creatures!"

Scar seemed excited that he could share his knowledge with us.

"Sure. Umm, all I noticed was that Mumbo's eyes were black-"

"He had fangs- oops sorry Grian"

"So he had black eyes and fangs? Is there anything else?"

"Not really."

"Yeah, I didn't see anything except his eyes when he was on top of me..."

"Well let me see if there's anything."

We watched Scar look through pages of his book, seemingly getting more and more frustrated.

"Ugh! Stupid book! Sorry guys but I can't find anything and it doesn't help that everything keeps falling out."

"It's okay... let's go find out where Iskall took Mumbo and see if they know anything"

We all flew off in different directions trying to find out where Mumbo and Iskall went.

I felt my head on something soft. Maybe a pillow? I slowly opened my eyes. I could feel my fangs where they would usually be if I wasn't trying to hide them. I panicked and looked around seeing no one around me. I was in Iskalls base. I heard footsteps and watched as Iskall came in with some food. I winced as my head still hurt from before I passed out.

"Good you're awake. Umm well, no one got hurt."
"What happened?"
"You don't remember what happened?!?"
"No?"
"Dude. Dude, Do you seriously don't remember?"
"I don't remember anything except passing out!"
"How did you- You didn't pass out. Why did you think you passed out?"
"I just thought I passed out. Why? what happened? WAIT! Did something bad happen!?!"

Iskall slowly nodded his head.

"You- Y-you attack Grian and Xisuma-"
"ARE THEY OKAY?!?!"
"Shesh Mumbo there fine, just please don't yell"
"S-sorry I didn't mean to"
"I know you're just worried. I don't know how we're going to explain this to the others- wait a minute, I forgot until now but- WHY HAVE YOU BEEN EATING EVERY THREE MONTHS INSTEAD OF TWO!?!"

I flinched at his reaction. I honestly just was hoping to starve myself. I don't want to be a vampire I just want to be normal again. I don't want to live like this but, I realized that I don't think vampires can starve. If they try I think we just lose ourselves for a bit while our body looks for food.

I felt my eyes start watering up. I was trying not to cry but I was failing.

"Wait-why are you crying!?!"

"I-

"I-i just want to be normal again..."
"Oh... It's okay Mumbo-"
"NO ITS NOT! I COULD SERIOUSLY HURT SOMEONE! I-I COULD KILL SOMEONE ISKALL!?! I DONT WANT TO BE LIKE THIS!

I-i'm a monster, Iskall...

"Mumbo your not a monster your my friend and friends help each other."

Iskall sat next to me giving me a sweet and reassuring smile.

"Thanks Iskall..."
"No problem dude! Now how are we going to explain this to everyone since I kindaaa left without an explanation.."

"Well, you could start by explaining what Mumbo is."

[Little bit of a shorter chapter but ehhh I wanted a cliffhanger >:)]
