I've always preferred winter over summer. What I've never liked was getting drenched every time it rains just because I have the worst luck in the whole universe.

''Maya! God, you're drenched. Come in, come in.'' Darwin stepped aside and ushered me in.

He led me to the kitchen where I found Alec and another guy who looked to be in his early thirties sitting beside him on the wooden table in the middle.

''Here.'' Darwin put a thick blanket around me.

''This is a shirt and sweatpants. Go change your clothes. Can't have you bedridden because of a nasty cold.''

I smiled at him and thanked him before hurrying in the direction where he said was the bathroom.

The outfit was hilarious. The shirt and sweatpants were ten times my size. However, I was thankful for them. I wouldn't have been able to stay in my outfit being drenched as it was.

After changing I went back to the kitchen. The new guy, Alec, and Darwin was talking over some large book that was laid on the table. I cleared my throat trying to gain their attention when I stood for five minutes without any one of them noticing.

''You look ridiculous.'' Alec greeted me.

I rolled my eyes and chose to ignore his remark.

''Ah, Maya!'' Darwin walked towards me and put an arm around my shoulder.'' Let me introduce you. This is our friend, Mark Grey. Mark, this is our new partner, Maya Philips.''

I nodded towards Mark, ''Nice to meet you.''

He smirked and eyed me from head to toe twice, ''Ah, you didn't tell mehave a beautiful young lady with you now, Alec. Not nice. I would've come sooner.''

I could feel my cheeks getting red.

Alec smacked his head before glaring at him, ''Get to work, Grey.''

Mark only chuckled rubbing his head where Alec smacked him. He walked towards me and stretched his hand,

''Nice to meet you too, Ms. Philips.''

I took his hand hesitatingly and shook it.

''Can we go back to work now. No time for your games, Mark.'' Alec glared at Mark.

Ah, seems like he's in a bad mood.

I thought then shook my head. Alec was always in a bad mood.

''Can I ask what Mr. Grey is doing here?'' I asked.

''Mark is an exorcist,'' Alec answered going back to looking in the huge book.

I cooked my head. An Exorcist!

The next day after mine and Alec's visit to Dr. Fakher. We called Darwin. We decided to gather at their place the day after to discuss what we had found out so far.

After briefing him in the story, we came to the same conclusion. Jeff Count was the one responsible for all the phenomena that were happening in the asylum and that we need to get rid of him. After that Darwin told me that they knew a friend that can help them in that case. He would contact him and see if he could come as soon as possible.

Turned out, Darwin was talking about a friend who was an exorcist and the said friend was Mark Grey.

''Yup. Darwin briefed me about your case. That's one nasty ghost I'm telling you.'' Mark scratched his eyebrow looking conflicted.

''From what you've told me, that thing looks very strong. Most ghosts can't do that much activity.''

''Why?'' I asked.
