Till now the only lessons the Gryffindors had shared with the Slytherins were those of Potions, however, a new notice pinned up in the common room proved otherwise. You were going to have your first flying lesson on Thursday, and it was going to be with the Slytherins. "Just perfect," Harry said gloomily. "I've always wanted to make an ass out of myself on a broomstick in front of Malfoy. Ughh..... and I was looking forward to the lessons too." Malfoy was always going on about how awesome he was at it and you wouldn't have believed him if you hadn't had confirmation from Nico. Well, most wizarding children were fans of Quidditch, its several teams, and played the game in their free time, however, you were raised in a non-magical environment as your parents wanted you to know how to "appreciate magic more", but in your opinion, it was all just poppycock. The only other person from a wizarding family who never played Quidditch was Neville, his grandmother wouldn't even let him near a broom. Secretly you thought she had a point, no offence to Neville but it's not like he's even stable on land imagine if he was flying! Hermione was also pretty nervous, flying wasn't something to be learnt from a book, however, she had tried, one day she came out of the library spewing one flying tip after another. Neville was following her, hanging on every word hoping that something would stick. She was interrupted (thank god) by the delivery of mail.

On a daily basis, Malfoy's eagle owl was always bringing him packages of sweets from home, which he opened rather gloatingly sharing only with his brother. Neville also received a package on this fine day, from his grandmother, a small glass ball, he explained how it was a Remembrall which turns red when you've forgotten something, which it did. Secretly you thought it was pretty useless if it didn't tell you what you forgot. Breaking you out of your thoughts, Malfoy snatched the Remembrall out of Neville's hand, and to that Harry stood up straight away seizing the excuse for a fight. As soon as he stood up you tugged him back down, "don't be an idiot just watch," almost as if on cue, Professor McGonagall, who had the ability to spot trouble twice the speed of any other teacher at Hogwarts, appeared there, "What's happening here," Neville half brought to tears answered that Malfoy had taken his Remembrall, to that he threw the ball back to Neville and said "Tch, I was just looking!" After things had settled down you went on to resume eating breakfast. As you continued eating, an owl dropped an envelop onto your plate, "My eggs... Oh, this better be something amazing goddammit!" you half angrily and half curiously opened it with Harry peering behind your shoulder, it read in, well, let's just say not the best handwriting ever...

Dear N/n,
I hope this finds you well, I would like to ask you if you could be so kind as to meet me at the usual place during break today?
Yours, Neeks.

You didn't even have time to put the paper down when your blood rushed to your cheeks, it didn't help to have Harry nudge you in your side, singing "Oooh, N/n has a boyfriend!!!" To that, you poked him rather hardly between the ribs, "Shuddup Potter."

Three-thirty. The lesson began normal enough with an introductory by Madam Hooch followed by simple exercises like saying the word 'up' and hoping the broom will hover into your palm. Some like both you and Harry succeeded straight away, yet others, like Hermione and Neville, struggled a lot a little more. But when you were learning how to mount the broom that is when all hell broke loose. Neville had accidentally pushed up way too hard and was sent zooming around through the sky with Madam Hooch chasing after him for a solid five minutes. At some point, he was thrown off the broom and he fell to the ground, face down with an incredulous 'thud'. You were actually very surprised when Madam Hooch announced that his only injury was a broken wrist. However, this was not the end to the havoc raised during this flying lesson. As Madam Hooch left the field, taking Neville to the hospital wing, she warned you that if anyone were to fly while she wasn't there, they would be expelled from school.
