Dear Readers,

What words can I possibly write to convey how I feel in this moment? Eight years ago I posted the first chapter of Kay's story. Now here we are at the end, after a long but satisfying journey. Kay has grown to mean so much to me – and I know to many of you, as well. It's an extremely bittersweet feeling to be here at the end of her tale, but I am 100% confident that this is the right way to bring it all to a close.

When I look back on how far the Everything series has come, I get emotional every single time. 16-year-old me would never have believed I'd be here, eight books into a series of which she thought there would only be one. 1,000+ followers. A loyal readership that has borne her several hiatuses and delays and some straight-up cringe worthy moments. 16-year-old me never imagined Kay would become who she is now, that she would mean so much not just to her but to her readers as well. That through her journey she'd be able to touch the lives of so many.

It has all been so, so much more than I ever could have hoped or imagined or asked for. And readers, it is all because of you.

It is just fanfiction at the end of the day, yes. But it means the absolute world to me in ways I cannot even begin to express. My life's dream has always been to write, to reach people through words, to give others stories that would take them on journeys they'd always remember. To have 1,000+ people following me here, on Wattpad, reading fanfiction about Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends gives me hope that one day my novels will be accepted with the same level of enthusiasm out in the real world of publishing. Every time I post here and am flooded with excitement from you, my readers, it gives me a boost of confidence that is very much needed and appreciated more than you'll ever know. Thank you so, so, so much for that.

I've loved writing Kay's story. She's come so much farther than I thought possible and I'm so very proud of her. The Emerald's Chosen has helped me grow as an author, and I'll forever be grateful to her as well as to each and every one of you. Thank you for coming on this journey with us. Thank you for reading, and voting, and commenting, and being there for us when we needed you. In eight years, you've never once failed. You all are the absolute best. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything.

Now for the news I've been dying to announce for months.

Kay is saying her final goodbye to all of you, my readers, but fear not – I am not done writing fanfiction. I don't know when, and I'm not announcing anything official yet, but I want you to know that very soon there will be an entirely new, unrelated to Everything, set in a universe in which Kay does not exist fanfiction coming your way! I'll keep you all updated as regularly as possible, but please keep checking back here for news, because you never know when something new might be dropped suddenly!

I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for everything you've done to bring us to this moment. YOU are the reason Kay took off and became the Emerald's Chosen. YOU are the reason she came back after the original trilogy. YOU are the reason I have 1,000+ followers, and nearly 70,000 reads on the book that started it all, and have become one of the top Sonic fanfiction authors on Wattpad. YOU are the driving force behind absolutely everything. Not me. YOU. THANK YOU, dear readers. Thank you.
