This chapter will mostly be Dylan's POV, the beta, and Ethan's POV ,the soon-to-be alpha of the shadow pack. There will also be a small POV coming from Cole.

*Ethan's POV* (Around the time of Kayla's appearance in the new town)

I was in my office doing some work, getting use to the work I would be doing as alpha. Seeing my birthday will be in a couple weeks and the alpha title would be handed down to me. I suddenly pause.

Someone was entering my territory! I mink linked all of my pack members that if you see someone new around here to notify me. I continue back to my work for ten minutes until I got notified.

'Alpha! There is a girl here at the diner. She smells human though.' It was Emily, one of the pack cooks.

'Ok. Try to get more information off of her, simple things, like her name where she came from, etc.' I mink link her, 'what is she doing? Give me a description of her.'

'Yes alpha. She had a royal blue hair color, she has a pale-ish tan-ish skin color from what I can see and from what she is wearing and drove here with, she looks like a badass. Sorry for the language alpha. Other than that she just sat down and grabbed a newspaper' She replied and apologized.

From what she is telling me I got a bit weary, she could be a hunter. Looking into the newspaper for hunt raiding, forest attacks maybe. The clothes probably to cover the weapons she may hold.

'Is she carrying anything? Can you describe what she is wearing and the thing she drove here with. Is there anything else you can describe.'

'Actually yes, she is carrying a duffle bag. I don't sense any wolfsbane or silver so she isn't a hunter.-" I hate how she can read people easily. "- She looks about 5'8, maybe 17 or 18. I can't tell about her eyes though, she is wearing black sunglass shades that are covering them. Although she is wearing black skinny jeans, a dark navy v-neck, Galaxy vans, a leather jacket and that's about it. She also came here in a motorcycle. Oooo, and she has a nose piercing. I'm about to go over to her right now to get a better look, alpha.' Emily says and probably goes off to the 'claimed' human.

I wait for her to respond, not fidgeting because I'm still waiting for her response on the human.

'Alpha, her name is Kayla Matthews. She looked a little too pretty to be human. She may be part vampire, or part angel.' She recalled to me after a few minutes.

'Ok thank you, Emily, notify me if anything else happens.' I tell her.

I continue to work on my pack documents and treaty's with other packs. Did some signing on a few invitations. This went on for a good 15 minutes until Emily contacted me urgently.

'Alpha! Something just happened. I was giving Kayla her coffee and I noticed she didn't have her glasses on. And when I looked into her eyes I froze. Alpha, they where silver then gold around her pupils. They weren't contacts either, it was too bold. And the weirdest thing too, I accidentally dropped the coffee when I looked into her eyes and she didn't even flinch, she caught the cup before it hit the floor!' She rambles to me on the mink link.

'Emily calm down, I will have someone check on her. Don't worry about her, probably just some random human.' I resure her.

I called on my beta and one of my stronger pack warriors to follow her. Hopefully she will just be some human we won't have to worry about.

)Dylan's POV(

I was running on the pack border doing patrol when my friend and alpha Ethan mink-linked me and Cole ,who was at my side.
