Jasmine- "are you ok?" She asks soft, cutting the silence.

Kayla slowly turns to her.

Kayla- "I all m-m-my f-fault. I saw h-him. I saw Matthew, Jasmine. Artemis, she......she said she forgives me. She took something from me, Jasmine. I'm going to die." Her voice cracks and Jasmine gives her a hug and Kayla just cries.

'Since when were they besties?' My wolf asks.

'I know right?' I reply back to him.

Cole- "what do you mean your going to die?"

Jake- "yea, no one is going to murder you right?"

Kayla- "she took something else, and it not my life." She sobs and clutches onto Jasmine and cries. She continued,

"She took my immortality."

)Kayla's POV(

~The Dream~

I woke up in the woods. I remembered this before, I've been here. I look at my surroundings and I realize I'm in a clearing in the woods. There was a lake and a small waterfall that leads into the lake. The time was night, and the stars and moon casted down brightly.

My eyes fall to a lady. It was Artemis, the moon goddess. She stood in front of the lake, watching me. Her silver gaze much like my own. Her dark brown color of her hair was the same as it was centuries before. As her whole appearance looks the same as it did centuries ago.

Kayla- "hello?" I ask out. Not really believing she had finally talked to me.

Artemis- "this has to stop Kayla. You trickled fate, as you were supposed to die in the war. You even left Matthew when you came back. You need to face your memories Kayla."

Kayla- "stop!" But it was too late.

She waved her hand and Matthew stepped out of the forest. He looked at he did at age 17. Around the time I left him.

Kayla- "I'm sorry." I choked out.

Matthew- "why did you leave me and the group Kayla? You were my mate. It killed me to know I could've protected you." He asks me softly.

Kayla- "Matt, I couldn't bear it. I was immoral, still am, you would've died before me and grew old as I stayed 18 forever. I still love you with her my heart, please, I can't handle my memories."

Matthew- "Kayla you have a new mate. He has my wolf. At least be with him, I can't let my wolf suffer another generation. Do it. For me."

Kayla- "Matthew, what makes you think I would even be able to find him? You know I'm immortal too, I would out live him. Stop it. Please. I'm sorry." My eyes were starting to water.

Matthew- "Artemis, would you please do what you and I have discussed."

I look at them confused. Artemis comes walking towards me with Matthew at her side. I look back in forward at them.

Artemis suddenly uses her magic to keep me still. I can't move.

Kayla- "STOP IT!! please I'm sorry!!!" I cry out.

Artemis- "I forgiven you, Kayla, but you must lose the thing you gained, when you lost everything."

Kayla- "DONT TOUCH ME!!!!!"

Her hand goes out to touch my chest and stops midway. A bright white light escapes me and goes into the palm of her hand. The light disappears when she closes her hand in a fist.

My hair started to change color, I felt myself growing a bit smaller in height by an inch or two. My vision started going burry. And before I passed out, Matthew kissed my forehead and I was dumped into the darkness.
