Faye's Pov

Surprisingly, things weren't awkward after their kiss.

Faye just remembered pulling away, looking into his eyes as they smiled back at each other; the sounds of the forest being the soundtrack to their perfect day out.

They were now walking back towards the lake her camera turned off whilst nothing was happening, the back of their hands brushing against each other as they swung back and forth. Even the slight graze sent a fire through her veins, hoping that he would slip his hand into hers since she was too scared too.

"How did you even find this place?" She asked, staring up at the sunlight drifting through the tree tops, "it's magical"

"I figured I had to find somewhere as nice as your haunted house" he joked, bumping her shoulder, his hand getting closer to hers before he must of gotten a rush of confidence, his hand grasping hers firmly.

"Nothing will be as nice as my haunted house" she teased back, not being able to stop the smile raising to her face.

"Honest?" He asked suddenly, looking at her.

"Honest" she nodded, raising an eyebrow in confusion.

"I only know about this place because Anthony was talking about bringing his girlfriend, Avani, so I figured you'd like it" she laughed at his confession, shaking her head.

It was sweet of him to think to bring her here, even if he did steal the idea from his more thoughtful friend.

"And you thought this, a stolen idea, was anywhere close to my haunted house?" She taunted, poking his arm as she spoke,

"Hey!" He objected, batting her finger away, "I had to listen very carefully to that conversation to know where to go" she held a faux impressed face.

"Wow, you're right, you're so amazing" she smirked, a deadpan tone to her voice.

"I should keep you round as my hype man, you're clearly trained in it" he teased back, nodding meaningfully, trying to hide his laughter.

"I don't think you need anymore boosts to your ego" she shrugged, walking faster as they left the path and came back to the clearing, letting go of his hand to make her way back to the lake.

Josh laughed as he watched her run around, pointing to frogs and tadpoles in the pond, squealing as one jumped onto her hand. He smiled even brighter when she turned around to him from her crouched down position, looking up at him with her lip slightly jutted out as she grinned, holding up the frog as if he couldn't already see it.

"A friend" she whispered, looking back to the frog on the back of her hand, using her finger very lightly to stroke its head, its eyes closed as she did so.

"What?" He laughed, crouching down to be on her level, taking the camera from her hand so that she didn't drop it in the water, which he wouldn't put past her considering her clumsiness earlier.

"My new friend" she whispered again, glancing at him from the corner of her eye as she stroked him again, noticing him smiling from behind the camera.

"Whats it's name?" He asked casually, playing along with her, admittedly cute, bit.

"His" she emphasised, smiling as he shook his head jokingly, "name is..." she stopped, obviously not thinking that far ahead.

"Wow, that's a great name, how is it spelt?"

"Shut up" she laughed nudging his knee with her own, "his name is Le Frog" she smiled, content with the name much different to the burst of laughter that Josh let out.

"Le Frog?" He sniggerer, "why in the world-"

"Because it's the name of the frog from Flushed Away" she told him, laughing at his confused face.

"Is it?"

"Yes" she gasped, faking offence, "how dare you not know that"

"I'm sorry, i'm sure my moms ashamed" she nodded.

"She should be" she laughed again as he let out an 'ouch'.

"Anyways, I used to have a crush on that frog" she mentioned nonchalantly, missing his eyebrow raised as she looked back at Le Frog.

"I'm sorry what?" He caught her attention, "you can't just say shit like that and go back to normal"

"What do you mean?"

"You had a crush, on a cartoon frog?" She nodded, "why?"

"He had skinny jeans and a cool moustache, and spoke French, hes basically Timothee Chalamet ?" She shrugged, just rambling at this point.

"Bonjour" he winked, "ca va bein?"

"Wow, a bilingual king" she bit her lip jokingly, "I would pay somebody to speak French to me all day, that's not even a joke"

"I'll keep that in mind" he said, causing her to raise an eyebrow.

"When would you ever need that information?" She asked, lowering her hand so that Le Frog could hop away, waving goodbye to the small frog.

"We'll see"
