The next few days were pretty uneventful...at least, as uneventful as things can be when you're in a hospital.
Tori's loneliness at night got a bit better with the plush that Andre gave her. It made her feel like there was someone else there for her, and every time she would hold it or look at it, she was reminded of Andre. He had been thinking of her on Sunday night. He would be there if she needed him.
Over the course of the next few days, Tori's day would go as follows:
A nurse would come between four to six to change her IV, and that would be when Tori got up for the day.
From then, she would get visits from her parents, Trina, Andre, and sometimes Robbie. Sometimes he'd bring Rex, however, Tori enjoyed it much more when he didn't.
Sometimes, she'd call Cat or Beck and talk to them that way.
She would get breakfast around eight, lunch around noon, and dinner around six.
One or two times, Sikowitz came, not only to see her, but also to drop off some homework that she had missed at Hollywood Arts.
A few days into her stay at the hospital, Tori was allowed to walk around a bit between lunch and dinner to get the hang of it again. She'd been using a walker for the past few days, similar to the one that Robbie used when he was in the hospital for surgery. Walking was getting a bit easier, as she hadn't terribly hurt her legs, but it put a lot of strain on her right arm to move the walker, and both of her legs were pretty sore from the crash. The doctors said that with her cast on, though, Tori should be fine with using the walker to get around while she was getting the hang of walking again.
About a week went by of this same routine, and Tori was actually texting Andre about some of the acting exercises on the homework when the doctor came into her room.
"Morning, Miss Vega." He said, standing beside her bed. "Are you feeling better?"
"Definitely feeling better than I did when I first got here." Tori nodded. She then looked at the doctor with the most serious face one could have and asked, "by the way, do you know how someone would act if they were dying because they were crushed by Dr. Robotnik's robot from Sonic the Hedgehog?"
The doctor looked at Tori, confused. "I'm sorry?"
"It's this prompt that my acting teacher wants me to do for homework." Tori explained. She wouldn't be surprised if Sikowitz had come up with this scene himself. "I'm wondering if I should be coughing for some reason, or just being raspy."
"Whatever you end up doing, Miss Vega, you may want to do that somewhere else other than the hospital. We would probably get worried if you started acting like you were dying all of a sudden." The doctor pointed out.
Tori laughed. "I'll keep that in mind." She said.
"Also," the doctor added, "we've finally gotten Miss Valentine to the point where she's understanding how to use the crutches, and Mr. Oliver's headaches are getting better. Both of them are getting around pretty easily. We were wondering if you'd like to see them again?"
Tori froze, her fingers just above the keyboard from where she had been texting Andre. She looked at the doctor in disbelief. "You're serious?" She asked. "I can see my friends today?"
The doctor nodded. "We know that you three have been wanting to see each other ever since the crash. And you're at the point where all three of you are making speedy recoveries. You're all well enough to be able to see each other again."
"Then...that just leaves one." Tori thought aloud. She looked at the doctor, hopeful. "Any updates on Jade?"
The doctor shook his head sadly. "Still comatose." He replied. "But we're trying everything we can."
