IT WAS A DARK NIGHT IN PRIVET DRIVE WHEN IT ALL STARTED. An elderly man dressed in wizard robes walked down the road alone, taking in his surroundings. His long, grey hair fell down to his lower back and a long, grey beard extended down to his chest. Silver Moon spectacles were placed over his nose, putting them to use as he saw a brown tabby cat sitting in front of a nearby shed, tail wagging.

The man pulled out some sort of silver cylinder, opening up the top and raising it into the air. He pushed another lever on the object as another 'spout' emits from the cylinder, an even tinier cap opening. The lights from the lampost seem to get sucked into the cylinder right as the man pointed to them. After all the lights are out, he put the cylinder back into his pocket.

The cat in front of the shed suddenly meowed, gaining the mans attention. Knowing who it was, the man smiled down at the feline mischeviously. "I should've known that you would be here. Professor McGonnagall." He smirks as the cat as it transformed into an elderly woman wearing similar robes to the man. "Good evening, Professor Dumbledore." She greeted the man as they both walked down the now dark street.

"Are the rumours true, Albus?" She questioned. Professor Dumbledore looks away from her before replying. "I'm afraid so, Professor. The good, and the bad." He looks to the ground shaking his head slightly while Professor McGonnagall looks at him shocked. "And the boy? What about Black?" She asks two questions in one as Dumbledore smiled softly. "Hagrid is bringing them both." He stated proudly.

"Do you think it wise to trust Hagrid with something as important as this?" She questioned the man, seeming not to trust Hagrid with the two boys. "I would trust Hagrid with my life." He replied with a smile. Not even a second later, a bright white headlight shone between the two as Hagrid lands on a flying bike before the two. "Professor Dumbledore, sir! Professor McGonnagall!" The man greeted the two.

He had extremeley long brown hair and he seemed taller than most men, possibly a half giant of sorts. He wore a shabby large brown coat that covered his entire figure. He climbed off the bike as Dumbledore questioned his journey. "No problems, I trust, Hagrid." He calmy asked the half giant who denies his assumption. "No, sir. Little tyke fell asleep just as we flew over Bristol. Can't say the same for young Black though. Kept calling for his da', Fell asleep just before though. Poor thing." He informed, taking his gloves off as McGonnagall put a hand over her mouth in sadness at the thought of a baby calling out for no parents to reply back to them.

"Try not to wake them." He quietly advised the two professors, handing the baby to Dumbledore who took him gently in his arms. McGonnagall kept her hands on the blanket as she travelled with him to the front door. Hagrid stayed behind, carrying the second boy in his hands, looking down at his tear stained face as his chest rose up and down through the red blanket.

"Albus," McGonnagall started, "Do you really think its safe, leaving him with these people? I've watched them all day. They're the worst sort of muggles imaginable. They really are!" She tried to convince Dumbledore as he payed no mind and instead replied with facts. "The only family he has." He shut down her persuasion and stood in front of the front door with the baby in his arms.

"These two boys will be famous! There won't be a child in our world that doesn't know their names!" McGonnagall reminded the man as Hagrid carried the second boy behind them, both of the professors focusing on the boy Dumbledore was carrying. "Exactly. They're both far better off growing up away from all that." He told her as Hagrid sniffled, trying not to get tears on the young baby in his arms. "There there Hagrid," Dumbledore started once more as McGonagall took the boy from his arms.

The boy wriggled around and yawned, opening his eyes a little bit, revealing a pale blue as McGonnagal looked down and smiled softly at the sight. The boy drifted off back to sleep with a hiccup, tired from the eventful night as Dumbledore continued. "Until they're ready." He looked to the two babies before him. McGonnagall smiled at him, rocking the young Black in her arms. Dumbledore placed the baby down in front of their door as McGonnagall questioned him.

"What about Black?" She quickly realised, worrying for where he'll grow up. Dumbledore turned to her and looked to the boy in her arms and sighed regretfully. "I'm afraid he'll have to stay with young Harry, it's what Sirius would've wanted." He took the baby from the woman and placed him next to Harry as a frown took over her facial features, hoping to look after him herself. But after all, he has to grow up away from the magical world as Dumbledore said before.

Hagrid sniffled even louder this time, tears running down his face as the two adults turn to him. "There, there Hagrid. It's not really goodbye, after all." He comforted the half giant who nods in response. Dumbledore turned back to the sleeping babies and placed a letter on each of their chests.

"Sweet dreams, LEONARDO BLACK."
"Good luck, HARRY POTTER."
