Loony Lovegood, that's what they all called her, but Ginny really didn't see anything Loony about her. Sure her father wrote some pretty strange stuff in his magazine The Quibbler but Ginny couldn't help enjoying reading the magazine, the stories that weren't about dirigible plums or mythical creatures in your hair were truthful in these times unlike any newspaper created by the ministry.

Ginny Weasley, the 6th Weasley sibling and the only girl sat on her windowsill looking out at the night sky. You Know Who had risen from the dead and Ginny was in her 4th year at Hogwarts and was excited for the new year.

"Ginny, Dinner is ready!" Molly Weasley called up the 3 levels to Ginny's bedroom

Ginny called back down "Coming mum"

As she walked down the stairs she felt her mind drifting to Luna again, the way her silver curls danced in the wind and the way her earrings bounced as she walked. The way her ocean blue eyes sparkled when she talked like sunlight reflecting off the pacific. Ginny tried to shake the thoughts out of her head. What was wrong with her? She shouldn't be thinking of Luna this way. It's not that she had anything against lgbt people she just knew she wasn't one. She couldn't be.

As Mrs Weasley dished steaming lamb stew out of the cauldron Ginny felt her thoughts drifting to Luna's eyes yet again, how they glistened like stars and how they seemed as deep as the bluest ocean. It's fine she told herself, you're not thinking of her in a romantic way, you're just jealous of her looks that's all.

"Thinking of Someone special Gin?"
"Got a new boyfriend we don't know about yet?"

Ginny snapped back to reality and looked at her two older brothers Fred and George who were grinning across the table at her.

"No of course not" She replied defensively
"I was just thinking about going back to Hogwarts"

"ahhh" Her brothers said together. Ginny didn't think they looked that convinced.

After dinner Ginny practically sprinted up the stairs tripping over Errol the family owl on the way who always seemed to be sitting in the most peculiar places. She slammed the door behind her resulting in a disappointed yell from Mrs Weasley downstairs and a grunt from Mr Weasley before pulling a Witch Weekly magazine off the top of her dresser.

The women on the front was wearing the most dainty, long beautiful dress covered in flowers that twirled around her legs in the image. She waved at ginny before going back to fanning herself with her gold embroidered fan. Ginny felt herself inhale sharply and almost lost her breath as she looked at the women. 'How could anyone be so gorgeous?' she thought to herself. She felt her eyes drifting towards the model's chest and couldn't help but notice how much nicer the roses on her bodice looked than anywhere else on the dress. She opened the magazine and flipped to page 16, she knew the page by heart and unlike all her other Witch Weekly magazines which she threw out after reading she had kept this one reading through pages 16 and 17 almost every week.

Ginny had questioned her sexuality before but she'd always convinced herself that she just thought girls were pretty, it must be nothing more than that. None the less Ginny couldn't help reading through the 'Are you part of the lgbt Wizarding Community?' quiz all the time. Ginny pulled a piece of parchment out of her desk drawer dipped her owl quill in an ink pot filled with black ink and read the first question: Have you ever had detailed fantasies about the attractiveness of another witch? 'Shit' thought Ginny and wrote yes next to number one on her parchment. When she had finished she counted her yes's and no's only to discover she had answered yes to 18 of the 20 questions and no to 2. She crumpled up the parchment and threw it in the bin.

Ginny lay down on the cold wooden floor of her small room and looked up at her roof in deep thought. There is truly nothing wrong with being attracted to girl she told herself, I can love whoever i want. She knew her whole family would be supportive, except for Percy of course who made whole speech of disapproval at breakfast one morning after the Ministry of Magic had agreed to create a Witch and Wizard's pride festival. Ginny wasn't worried about Percy anyways, he was a stuck up goody two shoes and he was the last of her worries. That night as she feel asleep Ginny made a promise to herself to go and talk to Luna at school. They were close friends and she knew that Luna who has come out as Lesbian two years beforehand could help her through her confusion, she might just forget to mention her romantic thoughts about the girl when talking to her.
