Molly Weasley almost wasn't going to let her kids go back to school but eventually, after a lot of convincing from her children she agreed that they would learn much better and after all as long as Albus Dumbledore was headmaster, Hogwarts was the safest place they could be in these times.
Ginny counted down the days to the First of September when she could go back to the best school in the entire universe and she could hardly sleep from excitement the night before. The next morning even Ron got up without complaining and they all wolfed down their pancakes in a hurry to not miss the train the Hogwarts.
In the few weeks leading up to going back after she had taken that Witch Weekly quiz Ginny had thought and thought about her sexuality. It seemed that the more she thought about it the more confused she became. As she was picking up her suitcase to leave for London she quickly slipped on a beaded bracelet in the pattern of a rainbow she had made. No one would know that she didn't just like rainbows but it was just there as a little reminder that she was important no matter who she was. The whole morning seemed to rush by and before Ginny knew it she was sitting on the red Hogwarts express seats waving goodbye to her mother and father excitedly. She tried to keep herself in a good mood but Ginny couldn't help but notice how much tighter her mum had hugged her before he's got on the train. In such dark times there was no telling what could happen to any of them before they saw each other next. As she watched Mr and Mrs Weasley disappear out of sight Ginny crossed her fingers and hoped that the Death Eaters wouldn't come knocking. Ginny was sitting alone in a carriage with Hermione and Ron, she couldn't think where Harry was but Ron was staring intently at Hermione and as cute as it was to watch her older brother in love Ginny decided to give the two of them privacy and find her own carriage. She walked up and down the Gryffindor carriages and it wasn't long before she found Luna, as usual she was alone, reading the quibbler. Nobody ever wanted it share a carriage with Loony Lovegood. Ginny slid open the glass door and poked her head in. She gestured her head towards the seat next to Luna who had looked up from The Quibbler looking directly at Ginny with those gorgeous turquoise eyes.
"Is this seat taken?"
"No" Replied Luna
"Feel free to take a seat, dirigible plum lolly?"Ginny shook her head and turned it to Luna.
"Hey I actually wanted it talk to you about something and I feel like no one else would understand"
"Of course I'll always be here for you"
Luna always knew how to make Ginny feel safe.
"I've been questioning my sexuality lately and I really wanted to come to you because I'm so confused"
Luna looked up again from The Quibbler which she had gone back to reading. Instead of saying anything she shuffled over closer to Ginny and hugged her. Suddenly Ginny couldn't breathe, she took in a deep breath of Luna's honeycomb and let the girl hug her. Her hair smelt like oranges and Ginny felt a tingle wherever Luna touched her. Luna pulled away and Ginny's breathing pattern went back to normal. Luna lifted up Ginny's chin and looked her straight in the eye.
"Ginny" She said "I'm so proud of you, you must be feeling so confused but we'll get through this together"
Ginny smiled at Luna, she never ceased to say the right thing at the right time.
"Have you told anyone else but me?"
"No, I worried about how they would react"
Luna nodded understandingly and stood up.
"Well I need to go and deliver these copies of The Quibbler around the train before we get to hogwarts but I'll see you at the feast"
Luna handed Ginny a copy and then she was gone, Ginny sat or a moment still taking in her Vanilla perfume and then got changed into her robes ready for them to arrive at hogwarts.
