Linny - Ginny and Luna's Secret

Chapter 12 - Snape's Secret

Ginny felt like she could kiss Luna forever. Her lips were so soft, so perfect. They melted into her own lips and Ginny felt like the were one. Suddenly the cloak was throw off and a strong hand pulled Ginny by the hair away from Luna.

"Well, Well what do we have here" snarled the voice of Severus Snape.

Ginny looked from Snape to Luna in fright beyond anything she had ever felt before. Not only had Snape caught her kissing someone, while wearing an invisibility cloak out of bounds but the person she had been kissing had been a girl, Luna to be exact.

Without a word Snape grabbed them both by the hair against and marched them up the steps into the school. Ginny wanted to look at Luna but she was too scared.

There was no escaping now. Snape was going to march them right on up to Umbridge's little pink sickening office and she would expel them for being homosexual. Ginny knew she wasn't allowed to love girls, it was decree number 52 but Ginny couldn't help it. How could she choose who she loved?

Ugh everything had been going to perfectly and now she was about to be sent home in disgrace. The got to the corridor and Snape steered left rather than up to Umbridge's office. The three of them starting walking down the steps to the dungeons and Ginny opened her mouth to inquire but Snape slapped his hand over her mouth.

When the reached the dungeon Snape slammed the door with such power Ginny thought it might fly off and then paraded over to where the tow of them were sitting on a bench his long black cloak flapping behind him like a bat.

"What on Earth do you two think you were doing? You disobeyed decree 27, all students must be 6 feet from each other at all times".

Luna spoke for the first time "We also broke decree 51 sir we're both girls" but Snape ignored her.

"As you well know breaking this rule is worth a week of detention so for the next week you will meet me here at 5 o'clock for detention. As it is 4:30 right now we can start today half an hour early.

Luna interrupted again "But professor don't we get expelled for breaking dec"

Snape cut her off with a shout "QUIET"

Ginny nudged Luna sharply with her elbow. She knew how honest Luna was but why on Earth was the reminding Snape.

"Sit" barked Snape festering to two desks

Ginny and Luna walked shakily over and took their places. He handed them each a student a
piece of black parchment and wrote a phrase on the board. I will never kiss another student on school grounds

"You will each write that out 100 times"

Ginny picked up her pen and began to scribble on the paper. Her hand and back ached and she couldn't stand letting Snape stand over her smirking but she told herself he was being nicer than ever before by not telling Umbridge about her kiss with Luna and she owed him her place at Hogwarts.

Finally she finished writing her lines and Ginny got up to go seeing that Luna had already left before. She was the fasted writer ginny had ever met so that was probably why. She got up to leave but just as the reached the door Snape blocked the doorway and  closed it behind him.

Confused Ginny looked up at him. Wasn't he excited to be rid of her?

"Not so fast Weasley" Said Snape in the softest voice Ginny had ever heard him speak in.

Ginny took a few steps back in surprise to see a small tear trickling down Snape's cheek which he hastily wiped away looking embarrassed.

"Professor what is it?" inquiredGinny somewhat impatiently

"I just wanted to tell you something " Spoke Snape after a long pause. "I've never told anyone this any you aren't even one of my favourite students but i feel the need to tell you this. Promise you won't tell a soul? Except for that Lovegood girl maybe"

Snape looked into Ginny's soul with his deep dark eyes and spoke as if he was getting a hug weight of his shoulders.

"I couldn't turn you into Umbridge, I just couldn't because I am too!" He blurted out.

"What?" asked Ginny confused

"I'M GAY GINNY WEASLEY"

"Oh my god" whispered Ginny, she didn't know what to say she hated Snape but clearly he was incredibly ashamed of his sexuality and she didn't know what to do.

"Professor" She replied at last "Thank you for telling me "  and then she ran out of the classroom as fast as she could and didn't stop running until she was at the Gryffindor common room.

She didn't know what to think. Snape was gay? And clearly he wasn't in a good place about it if he had told her! Well as least she wasn't getting expelled thought Ginny thankfully.

I'm not sure how i feel about his chapter please let me know your opinions and give me suggestions on how I could improve it.
