Her Deafening Silence

Shiena, true to her words that day when Yami scold her stayed silent when the Black Bulls Captain is around, she would talk to the other members of the squad and joined to their rowdy conversations but when Yami is around she would excuse herself and go to the roof. Her silent treatment on Yami continued in days, weeks, and even a month. One time when he gave her a mission with Luck, Grey, Gauche, and Asta she just nod and did the task with the group. Yami rarely see her, when he woke up in the morning the girl isn't around in the base anymore, he'd ask for her to the other members of the squad knowing that the girl would leave early and go to the middle of the forest to train with Asta and the other boys. He didn't mind it first, but as time pass by it began to tick him off because Julius told him to watch his daughter and here he is not giving a damn. There are also nights when he'd hear Shiena screaming on her sleep.

Yami's POV

It's one of those nights again when I'd hear her shouting in agony and pain. There are nights that she's too quiet and I think she's sleeping peacefully and there are also nights where she'd shout for help and that's what happening now, since her room is beside mine I can clearly hear her pleas and scared voice asking for help. This time I can't bear it anymore, I rose up from the bed and knock on her bedroom door.

"Hey brat, open up!"

She didn't respond and continued crying for help. It bugs me when she cried like that, I'm guessing that the demon that she mentioned to me the last time we talk is trying to kill her again. I twist the knob and barge inside the room, there I found her sprawled in her bed twisting with her blanket here and there.

"Oi, wake up! You're having a nightmare again." I started shaking her but she wouldn't budge, I continue to shake her and after a few violent shakes she rose up abruptly making her bump her forehead to my chest.

"Ooooof, that hurt. Eeeeeeeeek! What are you doing here in my room Captain? Do you need anything? Did I do something wrong?" She flooded me with questions. What just happened to her? The first time I met her she's a disrespectful brat and now she's being kind like a saint. I sigh.

"You're having a nightmare again. I can hear you crying from my room."

"I'm sorry about that. Since it's already 3 in the morning, if you want you can go back to your room and sleep. I won't sleep anymore since I had something important to do today." She rose up from the bed and started fixing herself. Her behavior makes me scrunch my eyebrows, and she's awfully nice. "And where are you going in this time of the night?" She face me and flash a faint smile.

"I'm going to visit a friend, I'm sure he's up right now. I'll be back in the morning to train with the others. Now if you'll excuse me Captain, I'll be going now so you could have your goodnight sleep." She wore her boots and leave without even waiting for my reply. Wait did I give her my permission? Did she just diss me after I wake her up from her night terror? She's still a brat. I go to my room and observe her from my window. Maybe I should follow her? Julius told me to keep an eye to his daughter. She then started walking to the direction of the forest... It's the direction to the capital.

I got out of the house and trail after her. After a few minutes of walking we've reach the capital, she walk through the alleyway took some turns left and right and then stop after wait... Is this the base of Jack's Squad?
She pick up some stones and throw it into the biggest window of their base. After a few throws, Jack himself opened the window.

"Oh, Shiena! What are you doing here?" Jack shout from above which made the brat snicker.

"Hello to you too pumpkin! You're looking good as usual. And why the hell are you wearing your Magic Knight Robe? You're going somewhere big guy?" Her remark made Jack frown playfully.
