"So why am I sitting in your lap again?" Shiena muttered with a flushed face.

"Because you can't walk?" Yami reasoned out with his normal tone like he usually does. "I know, but I can sit by myself Old man. This is so embarrassing, what if the others see us?" She attempted to stand and sat beside him but Yami tightened his grip on her waist.  "Uh-uh, you're not going anywhere brat. If you don't want me to throw you out of the window stop being so stubborn and stay where you are."

The threat made the woman shiver. All the guts that she had in store vanished when she heard him utter those bone-chilling threats. She realized that after a few months of living with the grumpy foreigner and the rowdy bunch that threatening them is one of Yami's hobbies when they're not going to abide by his chain of orders. Nevertheless, Shiena didn't mind Yami's threats because she knew that their Captain only wants what's best for them. 

So how did Shiena end up sitting in Yami's lap?

Mini Flashback

Silence~

The atmosphere is awkward. No one dared to speak between Shiena and Yami, they remain seated on the bed averting and refusing to meet each other's gaze. The urge to get out of the room was circulating in Shiena's mind, to say that she's nervous is an understatement. She's used to being alone with her Captain but now she felt so extremely nervous and her nerves are anxious. The woman's heart is beating like a drum, she couldn't understand why though or so she thought. Shiena is not oblivious like Yami, she knew the reason why her stomach is doing summersaults.
But her mind is dismissing the fact that she might have a little crush on their Captain. But one thing's for sure if she didn't get out of Yami's room she might do something stupid and embarrass herself in front of the man.

Shiena's POV

Ready or not here I come. I don't know what's gotten into me but I feel weird when I'm this close to my Captain. I still remember that time when he told me that he'll do anything to earn my forgiveness but damn, I didn't think that he'd take it seriously. Like he's too nice for me and I can't help but develop this stupid little crush on him. I need to get out of here and cool down.

"Where do you think you're going brat?"

"Uhm. I'm going back to my room?" I tried to reply normally, but seriously being here alone with the Old Man is making me so damn nervous. Yami stood up from the bed and crouch down in front of me. "Seriously. You can stay here, I'll go get you something to eat."  

"But..."

"No more buts brat. I'm serious here now shut up and let me do my thing." He stood up and was about to walk and get out of the room but I grabbed his wrist and pull him back. "Can I please go with you? I promise I'll be good." He sighs and face me, he had that "are you serious look?" 

Yami looked like he's going to age any minute because of my stubbornness. He won't leave me alone so might as well grab the opportunity and indulge mwahahahahaha. I laugh like a maniac inside my head. "Oi, why are you grinning like a hyena? You look horrible." What the hell? Am I that obvious? And how dare call me like that? I swear to God that one of these days I'm gonna get back at you Yami Sukehiro! 

"Hmmph, hyena my ass! Well, you look like a muscled gorilla. That's way more horrible than a hyena Old Man." I rose up from the bed but I felt my feet wobble, I can't fucking walk properly. What did Incubus do when I'm talking to him that time? I felt like my whole body is drained, I can't even stand. 

"Who cares? Oh, and why are you kissing the floor brat? Have you lost your mind?" He crouch down to face me while snickering. I glared at him and attempted to stand and walk but to no avail, I couldn't even sit formally. And Yami is in front of me, looking amused while I struggle like a worm. "Tsk, I am not. Can't you see that I'm trying my best to stand? My body hurts like hell man, I'm physically drained and you're just looking at me like I'm some kind of bug. What are you a sadist?" He smirk and picks me up bridal style. "I'm not. It's just that watching you squirm like a worm is quite amusing Princess." 

What the hell Shiena,  don't blush just because he called you like that. You're supposed to be pissed when someone calls you that. But I felt my cheeks heat up, no... what if he sees me? No, you're not going to have the privilege of seeing me blush like a tomato Yami. If he sees my like this I know that he's going to tease me all day. I hid my face on his chest, this is so embarrassing. He's walking through the hallways to the dining room, what if the others see us like this? What would they say? Oh my God. "You really have no shame, Old Man. And don't call me Princess because I am not." I mumbled. I don't know but I'm sulking for no reason. What's happening to me? What are you doing to me Yami?

"Yes, you are. You're the Wizard King's daughter, in other words, you're a Princess right?" He reasoned out. Tsii bummer. Yami Sukehiro is one hell of a stubborn person like me! Great! "I'm serious here Captain. I don't want to be called like that. I don't even deserve that title, I'm so far from being the Princess that my father wanted me to be so quit calling me like that."

"You know what? You look down on yourself too much, you underestimate yourself and your capabilities. Even if you're a brat you're still a member of my squad, a doting daughter of the Wizard King. You're a strong woman so never look down on yourself again because there's no weak and lame person on my squad got that?" 

He said while maintaining his gaze on the dark hallways of the base. The way he said all those words are soothing and encouraging, it's like his words alone can rile you up. "To be honest Captain, you're the very first person to say those things to me after my mother died. I didn't know that you're capable of saying those words haha."

A small tick mark appeared on Yami's forehead. "Hey, brat! Who do you think I am? I'll drop you!" 

"Please don't."  I cling to his neck like a koala, afraid that he might drop me on the cold and steely floor of the base. "You're choking me brat. Loosen up a bit." 

"Ah sorry about that. Next time don't tell me that you'll drop me or else I'll choke you to death." I flash an innocent smile which made him stop from his tracks. "Trust me brat. You can't." He then smirk and continue walking like he didn't say that like one of his threats. Seriously, he always counter me with his threats. After a few minutes of walking, we've reached the empty dining hall of the base. Good thing that the others are not here, I don't want them to see me clinging to Yami like my life depends on him. He sat on the nearest seat and placed me on his lap.

Back to the present

"Can I sit on my own now?" Shiena face Yami and flash her pleading look. The puppy eyes that work almost on everyone including Marx and Jack but it won't work against Yami. "Nice try but no, that won't do. What if you go down and kiss the floor again?" 

He teased. He might not show it but Yami loves teasing Shiena, he loves it when her face is fuming like a kettle with veins popping on her forehead. He thought that it's adorable. "Why won't you let me sit on my own?" She pout.

"Sometimes I'm wondering if you're deaf or you just love spacing out like Julius when he's fawning over new types of magic. Can you just stay put and calm down?"

"Guess I didn't have a choice then. We're both stubborn so no one's gonna win." Shiena groan which made Yami chuckle. 

"Good girl." He leaned down and whisper in her ears, making Shiena's insides stir. His low and husky voice was resounding in her ears, the action made her leaned on his broad chest. Her face erupted different shades of red, her heart was beating like a drum. Yami is giving Shiena a heart attack. 

"W-what was that about Yami?" She spoke, still hiding her face from the latter. Yami on the other hand is grinning like that of a Cheshire cat.

"What are you talking about brat? What did I do?" He replied in a teasing tone.

Shiena couldn't do a thing but scream internally. There's one thing that she realized when she's with Yami. He loves teasing her and she's falling too hard for him.
