CHAPTER 4

Ok clam down , Anu . There he is . That's it , you can talk to him , you just have to say hi .
    
Speaking of morning , I woke with a  jolt this morning . Had different kind of feeling . But yet I pulled myself up and started with the day.

When finally I finished it and was heading towards the canteen, my mind filled with the same thoughts and I was back to square one . What if he is in there ? I asked myself while looking at canteen entrance.

Tanvi called me to join her as she was waiting for me already and I got next to her. "You are quite off today , Anu . Is there anything that is bothering you ? " She asked and I was like 'you have no idea , my dear friend' .

Now here he is , entering canteen with a  smile . There this thing about his smile , firstly it comes up with extra cute dimples and secondly it takes my heart away with it .
 
Ok so , I walked towards him . And  may be he  noticed me approaching him as he changed his route and came straight towards me  saying " Hi , Ananya , I really thought it was you who saved us yesterday ."  He said leaving me completely shocked what  to say and what to not ...

"Yeah, it was me, I mean I am , I mean yeah, I saw you yesterday  but was busy with the shift so couldn't come and say hi ,sorry about that ." I rambled 'What am I saying ? What is wrong with me ?' I thought.  

"Ha it is okay Yarr ... I am so happy to see you here . I was really hoping to meet someone with familiar face given the fact that I was quite nervous as  I joined late "
He said with a smile . 'Wow , he and his smile ' ...

"Yeah it's okay , you will get used to it . Everyone's nice here . Well , don't mind Arjun , he likes to pull pranks here and there . " I said getting little comfortable with him .
    
Then we talked little bit about him . He told me that first time he didn't get the medicine which  he wanted and so reappeared for the same exam and now he is here .

He also asked me about my department and my work , I told him how I like this job and told him about my friends , speaking of which , I suddenly remembered that they were sitting in the canteen only and looked at them .
"Why don't you join us ? Come , I will introduce you to them , I mean if you don't mind or have other plans or your friends " ...

He looked at me and said " oh no , they aren't my friends , we just met and was talking , that's it "  "oh , that's good then come " and with that I started walking with him .
                   
When we got at the table everyone was busy talking and eating ."Hey guys" I said getting their attention ." hey Anu , we already did our hi of the day before, remember ? " Akash gave his sarcastic reply making others laugh.

You know, there's this thing that I believe where one's bestfriend and boyfriend can't be on good terms ever.
Yeah Akash is Tanu's boyfriend and my enemy no.1 .

I rolled my eyes and said " yeah , but I want you to meet my friend Anirudh , he was with me during MBBS   " ...
"Ohhh " everyone exclaimed .

"Hi Anirudh , I am Rashmi " said our very new group member and friend .

Ok , calm down girl ,he just got here , ...oh Anu , you calm yourself down , she is not flirting or anything or  is she ? ... I looked at her very suspiciously .

"Hi , Rashmi , and hello everyone  , I am Anirudh , just got here , I am in medicine department and will like to know you all,  hope you don't mind "...

" Of course not bro , you are most welcome here , Anu's friend is our friend , by the way in which room are you staying , I mean you are staying in hostel , aren't you ?" Asked Vishal .
" Yeah , room 101 . "

"Oh great , that's in the same wing as me and Tanu's room , I mean... my and Vishal's room and Ananya  and Tanu's room are in the same wing " said Akash wiggling his eyebrows " not that me and Tanu stay in  the same room " he continued blushing and looking at Tanvi who was blushing too . I again rolled my eyes .

" Yeah , you would do just that if you got the chance ,but our  poor Akash Mehra " said Abhi ,who was suddenly interested in our conversation as he was busy talking to his girlfriend Shivani . 

"Abhi, keep that to yourself ... But yeah, I would if it was not because of some irritating girl who has taught my girlfriend some shit " Akash replied .
I just glared at him and didn't say anything as I didn't want to give wrong impression to guy sitting beside me .
   
And then it was end of lunch , we said our byes and promised to meet after shift and got away for the work.
