CHAPTER 2

God I am late .... And I am dead too ... My seniors are going to kill me . They already told me to be prepared for the seminar and to be on time. I am late because I was preparing for it whole night , I really hope they are not angry .

This is not the first time I am going to present a case of patient but today is indeed special because today I will have to present not only in front of my seniors but also HOD sir ,all SRs (senior residents ) ,my colleagues and few new students .

Thank God, I am here finally. I got into the room panting heavily and everyone in the room looked at me like I have committed a big crime .

Then , the seminar started with introduction of newbies . Of course we call our new recruits "newbies" because they act like newborn babies here , always confused , always asking silly questions . Well don't mind me , I know this because I was exactly the same when I got here. Then I got up and started my seminar , it was nice and ofcourse was a success as I had prepared quite well .

After the seminar , we had day off as they were going to train newbies and teach them about the department work .
So me and my friends decided to go to the canteen and chill .

When we got there we saw that some Junior residents from medicine department were standing and laughing and when I turned, I came to know they were taking introductions from the newbies of their department .

Ok , I mean seriously ?.... I got near Arjun, one of my colleagues from medicine and asked "what are you doing ? And why? ....
"just having some fun Ananya " he replied.

"Well , firstly I don't think asking them their name is fun ,is it? And secondly it is wrong to have such kind of fun when you are in premises...Oh and thirdly ,you better stop your so called fun because our seniors are going to be here soon and I don't think you would like it when they will try to have fun with you because they won't ask for your introduction only, will they?" I said in one go while smirking at him. He was looking at me like I would have asked him for his both the kidneys and went to his table .

I got happy on my Victory and looked at newbies and said " we are not in the undergraduate College you know, you don't have to do this ... We all are colleagues . Some of us just came little earlier than you so cheer up ,ok?" But no-one moved so I said little loudly " up with your heads already " and all of them lifted their heads up .

I was in mild shock at that moment .I couldn't even believe my eyes . Am I dreaming or this is real ? Oh no , this is not happening ,is it ?

By that time , I didn't realise Tanvi was there beside me and was calling my name repeatedly .
I was shocked because of the familiar face standing in the row of newbies . But what was he doing here ?...

Before I could start my another pile of questions in my own head Tanu shook me so hard and I was back to my senses .

I looked at that person once again and then went to talk to Tanu . She was telling me about the newbies of her department and how she was appointed to train them and then I told her about my little heroic act of saving medicine newbies.
